Think you guys are trying to fly under the radar there Turk. Absolute Premiership favourites at Greenacres. with all those guns you had in the trial the other night. Cant see anyone in D4 getting within 5 goals of you. You even said how you would smash G-Grove on Anzac Day by 10 goals or more yourself, when running the Water. The way you looked the other night and other training sessions, G-Grove would have to be a really good side to get close to Greenacres. You seem mighty confident at Dragons land Turk.  A long season I know but with all your confidence you should not lose a game.

Exactly. We didn't play very well, but we didn't expect to be at our peak in the first weekend in March, without even playing an internal. Trust me when I say, we are not worried.

I also didn't realise that we were the first club to have a B Grade play well, with the A Grade having a downer, on the same day? But I could be mistaken. ;)

Some really big calls there George..

Seem to remember some big calls getting thrown around about Golden Grove last pre-season also..
Every club gets injuries but the Dragons didnt have greatest the depth to cover last season..
With Sailsbury & Golden Grove having 4 sides & everyone else having 3 except Sailsbury West & Greenacres with 2 will this be a factor with any injuries to key players as the season gets into the business end..
Div 4 over the last few years is a divison with teams evenly matched with close games between the top 8 sides..

Is a long season but sure to be another interseting one..

It'd be like hunting a sasquatch.... ;)

Yes enjoying it very much thanks turk and doing all the pre-season training has given me a bit of the playing itch again but that wouldn't be wise so I will buy myself a big warm jacket and prepare for life on the sidelines ;)

Smart move mate, very smart move ! :D

Felch as a man with experience on the sidelines can u get Choccies & myself a good deal on these big warm jackets ;)

Fitzroy have trial games against Blackfrias on the 20th March & Torrens Valley on the 27th of March.

We have played Para Hills & Mt.Compass over the last few years so they will good hit outs for Pooraka & Golden Grove.

Any news on these clubs as been bit quiet of late,

Unley - as hear numbers been good plus they have a few new signings but no names were mentioned?
Salisbury West - as they have had a lot of outs but any ins & how is Nathan Sidwell settling back into the club as B's coach?
Pultney - is Adam Silvy still coaching & how are they shapping up for another crack at Div 4?
Woodville South - any luck on finding a venue for this year yet & a ANZAC weekend clash v Fitzroy will be a ripper?
Westminster - hows the numbers out on the track? I drove past Glandore Oval the other day & its looking good.

Well one would hope so seeing as Silvs signed a 2 year contract. No ins as of yet according to the SAAFL Newsletter and only one out for the club as a whole.

What night did you drive past Glandore? fairly certain the Cricket club still has exclusive use of the oval for at least the next 3 weeks and seeing as none of their teams are likely to make finals the Footy club might get early access this year.

Look for some real improvement at Unley. Will be getting the services of a former AFL, SANFL & Div 1 player having a kick with his mates and he will dominate.

According to the Div 5 thread, our form in our single trial game means that we are terrible and it looks like we will finish bottom, so no need to worry about Salisbury for 2010.

Correct there Heater, we're still at the School oval, but hopeful of getting back to Glandore next week possibly. I think Roaring Lion meant the oval itself looks good.

Numbers have been alright Roaring Lion, not sure of exact figures, but would've had over 70 different blokes train, but numbers on any given night are around 40-50 for one reason or another.

Heater, is Jones still out of Melbourne at the moment, will he be playing this year?

Or slipped on a banana skin...

Did you live in a swamp in a previous life??

To all readers....
The view of "georgethegorilla" does not accurately reflect those of the Greenacres Football Club or any of it's players or officials 8).
Opinions and bumholes..you either have one or are one IMO

Heard a rumour last night that Greenacres are paying money plus a sign on fee to a 32yo who played b grade football in Whyalla last year.
If true they must have a lot of money to spend / waste out there.

Any Div 4 teams got any trial matches this weekend
