With not having a shot at the finals from reports on here and the look of their fixture for the rest of the season. It would be an awesome achievment to make it but it looks unlikely. Whats the word? Will it be another good coach gone or quick easy sacking at the end of the year? Or again, just another review of this year or for next year? Apologies if it has been mentioned already. Cant be bothered going through the posts to see.

I am under the understanding his position is safe if he wishes to proceed next year.

No one replied to my post and havent heard any news about (no news is good news i would suggest). Asking questions about another coach/mate is not allowed on here anymore? I will change my bait now as you have put it.Maybe to a bone?

I went to watch the PNu v Districts game on the weekend. I must say that the severely undermanned PNU probably should have won by a lot more. The 7 goals they were up by at one stage more accurately reflects the margin that should have been at the end.
I would hate to see Rod Smitheran being punished for this as I don't think he deserves much blame at all. The side itself looked fat, slow and old (with the exception of a few such as Gunning etc...), so he would definitely need another year to at least try and build on what was left to him before any real pressure is put on him.

I'm sure if you have the sources to find out he had a meeting, said sources could inform you of particulars of said meeting.
Don't believe everything confuscius says, he also says "Man with head up ass, can't see for sh1t"

I would be surprised if Smitheram would get the sack after just one year.
I didn't get to watch this game unfortunately, but that would be a semi-reasonable assesment of the side. I would imagine a bit of recruiting will be done over the summer. It would need to be done for Districts to challenge for finals next year in my opinion.

And still the ladies flock to his hot spot. How does he do it?

Seriously, even Buddy was goalless on the weekend. No coincidence. In honour of Fromm.

Now, i've been told to cap the Fromm love by the Cats coach.
If you have a player worthy of such fanfare at your club, I'm willing to......pfft. Who am I kidding, of course you don't.

i think they may have to do a bit more recruiting than anticipated, word around the peninsula is 3 of the gun recruits from this year wont be sticking around down at largs bay once the season is done and dusted, that in itself should free up some cababbe to attract some decent players

Roberts has been very good from all accounts. not many teams have anyone too go with him.
Not sure about Brad i know he did his Hammy against us about a month ago.

Port Districts have a history of treating their coaches poorly. Don't be surprised if Smitheram gets the boot.

div 2 really an open race again!

ROCS might have needed the speed bump to kick them into gear!?
SPOC keep kicking themselves out of games. another 17 points!!!
walkies just cruising and the blacks are somewhat of an unknown.

PtDistricts could still make the finals if PAC and Iggies both loose!!! :o :o

and PNU and Athelstone headed to div 3.
will Macca go around again at PNU!?

Iggies in the box seat for 5th, win this week and they are there. IF they lose, they could still slide in if PAOC slip up and Pt Districts don't win and gain enough % in their game against Uni.

For PAOC to get there, they need their oldest rivals, SPOC to get up at Hunter Park, and then they need to hold up their end of the bargain as well by ensuring they get the points over Athelstone.
