Districts still missing a few,Steed the only one of note in from the trial they played against Henley. Some good players to come back next week i guess, still some injuries.

Don't know if i can believe that 1Eyed, your telling me Sampson, Gates, Madden, Christofis, Clarke all arn't playing. Are you hoping Henley come to Largs Reserve thinking they have the game won?
Don't think they'll be fooled by that old trick.

Urging all Broady supporters to head out to Salisbury North tomorrow for our first game. Ok our trial form has not been great but our young guys are keen as mustard and would appreciate any support. Go you Tigers!

Sorry No Mercy, gates and sampson played against Henley in the trial but your right Christofis and Clarke are back in. Both played last week. Perry and Maddern playing B grade to get some touch, both done very little training, and Lynch is unavailable so their backline looks and bit thin. Should be a good test. Is your mate Placey playing A's or B's?!! Will you be out watching tom?

He'll play Bs, really should be playing Cs or Ds. In time!
You'd think 1 of Perry or Maddern would play As to give them some experience back there.
Should be a good game, hope the rain stays away.
I'll be there.

Went to Seaton v Gaza game sat, very good game & not a flogging like alot expected.
Seaton had their chances but the experience of Gaza prevailed in the end.
Seaton can hold their heads high as they never gave in & were on the ass end of some dubious MAGGOT decisions.
The aboriginal contingents, Aaron & Thomas Motlop, Fishook & Vonsenden were fantastic for the rams, there pace alone will worry a few sides this year.

Is that Gilbert Fishock the Ti-Tree Roosters star?
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Heard today Pt Dist were up by 4 goals half time & only kicked 1 goal for the remainder of the game.
Did Dist's have their stars playing, if not who was out?
Low scoring game i see yet if Henley kicked straight it would of been different.

Sounds like Broadview, apparently up by 4 goal in the second, 5 points at half time and only kicked another 2 goals for the game. Fitness issues maybe.

What did you think about Kelly getting districts best on the weekend Mercy. I'm sure he might be in for some extra attention when he lines up against his old side.

Hey Roosters1 dont give up on us just yet. There were some good signs on Sat. particularly early and when our young players get some more experience we will be fine. Yes Go the Bombers, Luke played in the A grade and did ok seeing it was his first game coming from North U19s. The real dissapointment was our Bs but hopefully they improve! Noticed that Chad Appleby kicked 7 goals for Hope Valley on the weekend. We might have to work hard and get him back. He would be handy amongst our young lads with his experience.
It was an interesting round with a few suprises. Seaton did well to be close to Gaza, Gepps suprised to be close to Gaza and Port Districts suprised to be close to Henley. TTG were big winners suggesting ROCs may be in for a long season and Broadies were close to Salisbury North who look improved on last year. It may be a close competition after all!
