Barossa aren't the only ones to play under full strength. As mentioned Walasek, Mcconnell and Huitema out for Parks ( 2 b&f winners) Gatto spend time on bench as did other better players......

Not suggesting Barossa aren't any good but credit where credits due......

ANYONE GO FOR A LOOK

I saw the B grade but only the first quarter of the A's cos the wedding was about to start so i had to leave!! B grade was scrappy, number 20 stood out and looked like a player. The A grade was pretty even in the first quarter with Eastern Park's solid full forward doing most of the damage. No.14 on the wing looked pretty good as well. Don't know either sides at all, but would have loved to have stayed cos the standard was pretty good and the game was entertaining.

Both sides had some talls that we in div 6 could only dream about!! :D

Ha ha, i'm guessing you're one of the two blokes i mentioned!! Was the slant of the oval noticeable on the clubroom side? The boys struggled when they ventured over to get the beers and pies and said it was steeper than it looked? Or does the fact that they were getting beer and pies have something to do with it

St Peter's OC v Kilburn
Walkerville v Salisbury - only because of the reports that Salisbury were a bit of a shambles last week, which doesn't make for a good start to anyones season, not becuase I think Walkerville look particularly good
Flinders Park v Salisbury West
Para Hills v Woodville South - mmm-hard one, the promoted v the relegated, Para Hills once again, only because Woody South is an unknown.
Old Ignatians v Eastern Park

What makes you say that hawkseye, Jackson hasn't been sent any rejects from the Eagles.
Theirs is such a thing as getting the best out of what you have as a coach & if he's good enough to get it out of what he has well he needs to be commended.

One of our boys recieved a phone call from him after Fuller told him he wasnt quite up to it skill wise and he said their was already 4 or 5 the in the same boat. Dont me wrong my son plays juniors their and i like the club but i find it a bit rude from the Eagles as they arent suppose to play amatuer clubs off with one another to recieve player services. Its ment to be their policy if someone goes out and has crack with a league club and isnt good enough they go back where they came from.

I'd say they'd give you the option not tell you that you must go here or there, going to an Amateur club that has someone like Jackson as a coach, who will give Fuller feedback & a general rundown of his performance week after week is a good thing.
Ron Fuller would never tell a player he must play at this club, i know the bloke well & if the players from Henley, Seaton or Flinders Pk he won't push them away from their original club, if a player wants to go to his home club, Ronny would accept, if he doesn't he'll name a couple of clubs & let the player decide.

I was involved in trying to get him to Flinders Park. We believed it would be mutually benificial for all parties. He would play at a higher level, develop as a player and be in a better position to have another crack at the Eagles, we would get a good player, and the Eagles get to keep an eye on him.

Credit is due for being loyal, but the only winner out of this is West Croydon.

Game of the round would have to be Igs vs Eastern Park. Eastern Park have been impressive in their trials and have picked up some quality recruits. From what I have heard, Igs gave SHOC a run for their money in a trial last week and from all reports are a better side than last year.

I'm leaning towards Igs with the home ground advantage being the only difference...
