They both went ok up forward. Our b's won 16.9 to 6.9
Plenty of good signs, but plenty to work on as well...

It was a good solid hitout with both teams having around 30 players to trial. A few of our a's didnt play as did didnt a few of theirs. Great idea to play at 6 wasnt overly hot with a bit of cloud cover and then the shade come over aswell. Nice large crowd too, bar takings would have been alright.

If anything i thought they may have lacked a bit of pace. Our boys seem to clear the ball out quite often. I think their oval is a small one which might help them but on the bigger ovals like ours they might find it a bit tougher. Having said that they were pretty physical in the packs and you dont who didnt play for them.

I reckon Ingle Farm would've had a few decent players missing. A handful of our A-graders played the last quarter of the Reserves game, which would account for us getting a couple of goals up. Good hit-out for all concerned and most of it played in the shade.

I didn't play in the trial on the weekend, but it seems Trinity is much improved on last season.
A lot of younger players, who like to run hard.

you guys were lucky then. We played the first 3 quarters in full blown sunshine!! It was bloody hot!! Nice to get some run in the legs and nice to give our grand final nemesis from last year (b grade) a bit of a touch up, regardless of who we did or didn't have playing and regardless of who they did or didn't have playing!!
