Long time no speak sobcu, did you put a self imposed ban on yourself from safooty? :D

We're looking alright mate haven't lost anyone from last year and have been lucky enough to gain quite a few which has enabled us to put in a C grade for the first time this year. On paper we look stronger but if we are better remains to be seen, god knows I don't want another 8-0 start to amount to nothing! X(

hahaha nah forgot about the site for a while lol.. umm yeah good to hear we were close to throwing a c grade in this year but last min change of thought i think. yeah well every coach wants a 8-0 start just if ya get it again got to do somethink with it lol.. you guys were strong last year so if there are some new faces around you should be alright..

Good trial on friday night against rosewater. Our Bs did a good job and we stayed with rosewater for a while till they kicked 4 in the last 10 mins. Glad we dont have to play them this year as they are a good side. Felt a bit sorry for the angle vale blokes who turned up with only 10 mins to go. They wouldnt have seen much. Bring on round 1 now.

any other divvy 7 teams have trials.

How'd your trial v Adelaide Uni go Morell? Are you making your comeback Round 1?

Nah, just very quiet in this thread...

Trial went quite well, we lost on the scoreboard by about 5 or 6 goals however I am led to believe Adelaide Uni fielded a very strong side which included the State ruckman (Heath something?) and their starting midfield group was from their B Grade. Also had a guy who played VFL I think. Sadly one of our brightest prospects for the year - Colin Sumner - broke his leg and wont be available for many weeks.

As for me yep, knee is holding up, fitness isn't, likely to be playing B Grade I would have thought but should be there round 1.

So we can bring Mitchell Park in from $11 to $5 now? ;)

Unlucky for your young fella let's hope he can get back on the park before finals. Good luck on you're comeback mate, I hope you haven't eyed off round 3 as your return to the A grade? :)

Yeah Colin is everyone's favourite player, we are all hoping it's going to be one of those 8 week breaks and not 8 months.

I am eyeing off being able to play football again at a competent level and will be happy with just that at this stage. No idea if I will play A Grade this year, all going well hopefully my form warrants a call up at some stage.

not quite,
Yep nick heath played but the starting midfield group was from the c grade (div 6) and no-one had played vfl. mitchell park though could prove a handful on their track and bad luck to the guy who broke his leg - and managed to walk off.

Ah ok, no worries. Our coach must have been given some mis-information then. I asked the one of the AU lads and he said there were 1-2 A graders, 4-5 B Graders and the rest were C's and D's. He did say that the side was equivalent to what will be fielded in Round 1 Div 6. The VFL dude was apparently the small guy in the differnt coloured blue shorts? Cut us up all game...

Doesn't matter, it was a good side and it was a really good test for us who up until that point might have been getting a tad ahead of ourselves...

Angle Vale have picked some lads from the RAAF and a few footballers from Darwin. Steve deJager is very happy with his squad and expects them to be finalists this year.

Good to see Matthew Ortmann (ex Port Noarlunga) jump on board the Mitty Parks train for 2011. Played in the trial and was as hard as nails.

We picked up one player (O'Gorman) and changed our name to Mawson Lakes and were all of a sudden favourites for the flag last year :? . I think a $1.50 shortening is generous ;).
