Haha Brad Horsell Cup! At training last night I thought The Riddler had called upon the almighty in Jesus Christ to inspire the boys only to take a second glance and realise it was the one and only Greg Kells. both however have been known to walk on water and turn water to wine on a saturday night

i find it a bit strange that new players to the club are put in a leadership postion allready, I now they could be natural leaders but I would of thought they might have to be there for a season before they are selected. Any one else have a point of view?

Apparently the bloke who kicks the most goals will get the Greg Kells Medal, so named in honour of all the bags that have been kicked on him.

As for Mawson Lakes captain's, I asume your talking about Polkinghorne being named VC. He is an outstanding choice and must have an impression on new clubs as he was named as Kilburns captain a couple of years ago, in his first season there, before doing his knee in a trail game.

His experience and leadership over the summer has been outstanding. He will be able to give some direction all over the ground as he is generally around where the ball is.

Good luck to him and a great choice by Geoff and the club

IMHO I dont find it strange at all....Carlton did it with Judd as captain in his first year...Gibbs straight into leadership group at age 18....I think natural leaders shine through almost immediately regardless of age or past history.

The A Grade Leaders were done through a player vote, anyway.

North Pines are being criminally underrated in this thread.

Not a single vote? Should be second or third favourite IMO.
