Umpires tried controlling the game at stages but when the game was free flowing it was one of the better amateur league games i have watched. Scotch should never have let them back in the game but it looked like they ran out of legs in the last and may have got ahead of themselves! I would hate to see what Jolly would be capable of if he was fit...the bloke is a mountain and seems to handle some serious abuse from the sidelines well!

How can you say that it didn't warrant a red card! Cahill kicked brimmas right in the nuts, intentionally! It warrants a red card every day of the week, you can't go kicking players in the nuts!

Your kidding me right? He intentionally kicked him because he was holding him down while he was trying to get up. I would say landing the foot in the nuts wasn't intentional but more reckless. Red cards, IMO, should be used to stop the king hits, late head high bumps and the real dirty stuff that can cause serious injury. I'm sure brimmas played up on it as well....looked like he had been shot! If that was just a yellow card...Scotch would have won!

The incident is a red card any day of the week. And you did just admit to him intentionally kicking him, so I don't know what you're trying to argue.
And I'm not sure if you have a set on you or not, but copping one in the bread basket can pretty easily put a bloke down.

Unley supporters would have felt a sense of déjà-vu from the GF..... Was a very fun game to watch, Scotch supporters were cocky going into the last Q from where we were sitting. Once the siren went however, well, wowwww! :-/

In Cahills defense Brinma has big nuts but if you kick a man in the nuts it's game over. Red every time

THEY are the boisterous team behind Payneham Norwood Union's premiership success this season.

The Falcons cheer squad formed before the club's SA Amateur Football League division three home game against Pembroke Old Scholars on August 3.

It originally boasted about 10 members - mostly club juniors - along with a handful of "Go Falcons" banners, black and white flags, and pompoms.

Within weeks more than 50 people were on board as PNU charged to a grand final win over Scotch OC.

Umpires killed payneham throughout the game! Giving scotch about 2 or 3 goals by giving frees that shouldn't have been given right infront of goal, however saying that the ball never lie's and falcons were to good in the last quarter! Up you Falcons!

Get off it! I agree with HawkieRanger. Myself and the rest of the Unley crowd were passionate PNU fans all day, and PNU (we) definitely got the better of the umpiring. A couple of soft frees to PNU very close to goal in the last, especially Jollys gimme from the square; D.Cahills no mark, P.Cahills red, all could have gone against PNU on another day.

I don't think either side got favored by the umps.
But, you can't talk about 1 soft free kick given to Jolly in front of goal without mentioning the half a dozen or so he doesn't get (that's about how many I saw he should've been paid on saturday) pretty much every week for blokes grabbing him, and trying to pull and push him, because they can't beat him without it.

IMO Payneham got the better deal.
Absolutely, I played on him for a reasonable amount this year and that was my tactic. Didn't think he got scragged on the weekend, just got monstered by 2 or 3 blokes flying on top of him.

As a Payneham supporter I can categorically tell you that Payneham had a very good ride from the umpires for 80% of the day. As for the red card, anyone who thinks that it WAS NOT red card worthy needs to get their hand off it. If you intentionally kick someone in the genitals, regardless of the situation then you are a sniper. Should get at least 2-3 weeks from the tribunal.

Kick another man you get what you deserve. You want to argue for someone who kicks a bloke I won't bother having a logical discussion with you. When someone can justify kicking someone I will go away and you can play footy in a league where that is acceptable. As long as I am me I will never accept that regardless of your club. You kick you go!!!

We don't change over to 2014 until October sometime ;)

My question is, why? (with no disrespect to Adam)

Put simply, he's a very good coach, the guys like him as a bloke - but more importantly respect him as a coach.

Did chat to a couple but not a word said from the rest, well not to my face anyway which doesn't surprise me!
I did wake up tuesday with a sore back!
