Never good to see someone red carded in a grand final...especially the best player in the comp. I didn't think it warranted a red card but maybe a yellow! Umpires tried controlling the game at stages but when the game was free flowing it was one of the better amateur league games i have watched. Scotch should never have let them back in the game but it looked like they ran out of legs in the last and may have got ahead of themselves! I would hate to see what Jolly would be capable of if he was fit...the bloke is a mountain and seems to handle some serious abuse from the sidelines well!
How can you say that it didn't warrant a red card! Cahill kicked brimmas right in the nuts, intentionally! It warrants a red card every day of the week, you can't go kicking players in the nuts!
Your kidding me right? He intentionally kicked him because he was holding him down while he was trying to get up. I would say landing the foot in the nuts wasn't intentional but more reckless. Red cards, IMO, should be used to stop the king hits, late head high bumps and the real dirty stuff that can cause serious injury. I'm sure brimmas played up on it as well....looked like he had been shot! If that was just a yellow card...Scotch would have won!
