North Haven have only picked up two from Portland, both have already been dicussed on here previously, Tom 'Dicky' Lipson and Chris 'Alan Jr' Lipson

so pederson did not sign as well then???
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

Tom Lipson is a regular A Grader and would have been good for Portland in D2. Alan might well have struggled, but still a loss for depth and only young. Pederson still very young as well and no certain starter you would not have thought, with Portland.

Heard that T. Lipson and Bird are the only two regular A Graders to have gone. Have heard of some reasonable recruits but the new Portland is saying nothing from what I hear. The good old Sgt Shultz job - "I know nothing" is all i get when asking the few people who would know. Very unusual for Portland to be saying nothing. Wonder if it has anything to do with a Saturday morning meeting before Christmas when everyone was silenced about talking about football issues on here and any news coming from the club that related to football.

Chris Lipson, is the one we have signed not Alan mate, he is called Alan Jnr because they are basically twins

Even with a few quality ins we can't be regered as a force in div 5 this season if we don't find a quality ruckmen who can win the taps and give what could be a quality midfield and forward line first use to be able to put a score on the board. Finding a quality ruckmen is crucial to premiership chances, don't pump us up with all this talk of all these quality ins just yet.

Plympton and Salisbury West hardly had quality ruckmen, they had players that could get the job done so dont think you can say it is crucial, definately handy to have a quality ruckman but not crucial

Good point Cossi, quality is the wrong word to use then I guess, a handy ruckmen who is able to do the job is what I should of said.

Cosi did you watch the grand final, Plympton won it because there ruckman did such a great job. Also at Brahma I would have said the difference this year from the year before was - no Bellman!

Totally agree with that.....plus not having a stable side with so many missing during the year.

It's no secret we have picked up a forward and defender from Portland and a you're right you don't need a superstar ruckman but you do need a ruckman, unfortunately we have lost Matt Eagles who you must agree is a massive loss and we haven't replaced him with anyone at all. There seems to be a shortage of tall players in our area.

It must be all the toxins in the air down there, they stunt growth

Is a likeness to sideshow bob a pre-requisite to be your new ruckman? ;)
