I saw first hand just how tough Div 1 was so well done to Dusty and the boys....Will Dusty be there next year?????

6 other sides have managed to win there this year

Talking to a broadview player yesterday, he told me he was hit behind play, umpire saw it and when he got to his feet he confronted the umpire and the bloke said quote: I don't want to know about it!!! Also Parks coach was making obscene hand movements to the broadview trainer, and I believe she has lodged a complaint.
Reminds me back in 98 after Parks beat us in tge GF and Carey Payne did the same thing to our coach, 6 games was suspended for.
I guess things haven't changed

Sounds a lot like sour grapes to me and I lot like the tactics used by the broadview players to try and control Shaun Gatto on Saturday because let's face it, anything other than the fists and elbows the broadview players threw at him obviously didn't work. We wont mention what happened 2 minutes before the end of the b grade game which resulted in the melée just before the siren and an eastern park player lying in hospital right now needing a facial reconstruction to multiple fractures. It would seem that some need to worry about there own backyard before attempting to taint anothers!
I honestly thought that eastern park had a questionable game plan until I saw what broadview put forward om the weekend, absolute rabble! I guess that's what happens when you have a bunch of imports that couldn't give a **** about the jumper they play for, when push came to shove the team that had the players with their heart in the right place prevailed.
On the red cards, doesn't that mean EP played 20 min of the game with only 17 on the field? And still managed to blow the margin out to 5 goals, shouldve been 6.
And as for Ricky O, it says a lot about the broadview defence if a "washed-up hack" can kick 4 goals in 3 quarters of Footy!

:ymapplause:

Say what you will mate about our players, 3 of your players up at the tribunal this week. Evidence is right there for anyone to look at. Hate to say it, but this rabble still have a chance of playing finals.

Give me washed up hack who use to play AFL football over keyboard warrior any day of the week.

I guess it shows the lack of intelligance from some football supporters that when their team lose they have to resort to the old stereo typical slagging comments.

Apologies if you have ever played AFL football but if Ricky O is a washed up hack the only question is where does that leave you.

If he had played only footy on Sat, and not gone the knuckle, do you think i would be commenting on his game the way i have?? I say washed up, due to him not leaving the goal square and hitting blokes behind play. 4 goals or not, he might have kicked 10 if he concentrated on the ball! Anyways, i doubt you'll have him for the last 2 games.

Ever thought he may have been instructed not to leave to far from the goal square and try and beat his opponent with strength in the one on one contest, i doubt acceleration is his best attribute these days.

Woulda kicked more if he was on the ground in the last 1/4, but was sent off wasn't he. Lucky to last til then. That is my point.

so your saying a behind the play report cant be retaliation to another behind the play incident? I can tell you right now as fact it was a two way street on Saturday, which poses my question to Hollywood, how many EP players have you spoken to? I was there for 2 such comments from different umpires and you have posted not even half of what was said! 1st comment: "you can't have everything your way, don't expect anything if your going to provoke" 2nd comment: "I did see what he did but I also seen what you did to him, so unless you both want a case to answer I don't want to know about it"
It's obviously a very sour feeling when a team believes they can win a game by trying their hardest to get the other team focusing on something other than the game at hand but fails!
Rather than sit on here throwing stones accept that you were beaten by a better team on the day!

Sorry whufc, played on the guy in parts a couple of weeks ago, and he aint slow!! Not even close to slow. Doesn't mean he wasn't instructed to play the square on the day though.

Eastern Park being investigated by the amateur league!!!! Apparently Broadview aren't the first club to put in a complaint about Parks behavior. Even a few spectators have written to the amateur about them. Be interesting to see what happens....

Posted on here after the last Broadview/Eastern Park game at Broadview how I was impressed with Eastern Park both on and off the field at the game at Broadview and I stick by those comments from that game. I wasn't at Dwight Reserve Saturday to see any of the "alleged" incidents however there are players from both sides heading to the tribunual, some may well get lengthy suspensions if found guilty, now if the SAAFL are investigating and I have on good authority so are SAPOL it may well be in the interest of everyone here to move on and let things head where they need to go, remember these threads get looked at by all and sundry and from what you post may well end up with you making an appearance in court as a witness ;) (end of Locky rant)

Salisbury North to win next week and get the 5th spot

Will need both Gepps and PHOS to lose next week. Gepps play Eastern Park at home next week so we are in the box set. PHOS play Gaza at home.

Not surprised with Broadies losing the last couple of games with Scott "I didn't ask to be a superstar" Williams injuring his hand and playing some poor footy. Hopefully he can lift and get them over the line this week

Add to that the injuries we've got to Newberry, Wintle, Stevens...... not a good trot. Limping into the final rounds is not ideal!

It was a bit of a war of attrition on Saturday didn't look like there was a lot of fit players left on either bench and there was as much cramping up happening on the ground as I have seen for a while.

Spot on, not ideal before a tilt at the finals for both teams.

There is a definite falcon problem at your oval as well I think through out the day I saw 4 or 5 blokes get hit in the head with ball. :)

On a sunny day, the angle looking up the ground can be really bad. Not an uncommon thing, have seen many a player try and mark the ball with his face over the years.
