Word is that GG have another 4-5 into their A Grade and another 5 into their B Grade though
As TBS said, you cant play everyone due to the point system, GG have an excellent pool of home grown talent which is very handy.
80 - 90 % of their B grade would play A grade at a lot of football clubs.
Overall talent and ability of the individual footballers is very even so there are many like for like swaps when and if injuries occur, biggest concern GG may have is have they got that game breaker that wins you games of footy come the big matches.
Big blokes are worth their weight in gold, mosquito fleet can win games of footy as well. :
Time will tell if you can win the big games with the latter.
80 - 90 % of their b grade could play A grade at a lot clubs ? But they weren’t good enough make the finals last year. Weird way to look at it
Not that weird when they have over 50 clearances in to the club, even if half of them are juniors that’s still a full side of new players. 80-90% may be a tad high though :D :D

GG 4 goals up with ten mins to play, in front all day and scraped in with a draw.
Thomas was commendable but the crowd baiting him were not, banter is banter but when it is just plain dumb that's another story.
Umpires interpretation of holding the ball was very good.

Good start to the season for Plympton. Great bunch of people involved there, hopefully the good run continues

Steamboat tells me Havens lost because they missed his running prowess

It’s all Steamboat’s fault !! Strange scenes from the plympton game with the field umpire going off with concussion at 3/4 time only to be replaced by an elderly plympton bloke for the last quarter, we were 5 g down so definitely not why we lost, plympton were good and we were crap, has this ever happened before and what is normally supposed to happen if an umpire can’t continue? The bloke that came on was horrendous

Definitely not

it was the league appointed goal umpire who took over. Not anyone from PFC

Fair enough, he got a big cheer from the plympton crowd on his way onto the ground so thought he was a member

North Haven were way too good for Morphies in both grades today.

No promotion for the umpires at Webb Oval today.
Would just be nice to go to a game of football and not notice them for a change.
SHOCKERS.
As for the game, it was quite good.
Glenunga by a couple of goals but they were gifted 4 to 5.
I sensed of fair bit of rivalry developing between GG & Glenunga on the field partially due to some baffling decisions and 6 pointers on tap in the first 1/4.
Should be a cracking return match at Harpers next time.
Div 3 is certainly going to be a tight battle for the flag.

Wasn’t much better at Westminster mate, a game totally over umpired from start to finish, had players from both teams laughing at some of the calls.
It’s an absolute joke atm

First game all year where it wasn’t over umpired for us. We had Rowston umpiring, I’m a big fan of him letting the play go and only paying obvious frees. The over umpiring we’ve had the first few games is totally frustrating and I reckon it’s made Kenners turn a bit more grey

i'm glad it's not just me, thank you for the back up.
I was astonished at a decision that cost GG a potential goal, i call it as i see it.
GG player accidently fell into one of his own teammates back and the ball spilt free, another GG player collected the ball and was about to deliver deep into the forward line.
Something odd happened, whistle blown, umpire paid a free against the GG player against his own GG player.
Realised his mistake and called a ball up.
Just one of many shockers throughout the game.

Nice to hear.
No names but one completely over umpired the game all day, was ex SANFL which surprised me a lot to see such dictation.
Sad state of affairs.

Wasnt any better at the Morphie park, Portland game.
Some of the holding the balls given were a joke.
In the last quarter it looked like some guys didnt want to pick the footy up as the umpire was instantly penalising them.
Im sure Morphettville park guys would agree there were some ridiculous calls made.
Something needs to be looked at.

Reading the exact same thing in all the division threads.

Would’ve been close to 100 frees paid at North Haven today. It left players from both teams completely bemused at most of the calls. Something really needs to be done.
