Yep, we use Ridley Reserve during the summer. Official handover is April 1, unless no Jets side make a GF, then we can get it a week earlier. Vice versa in October.Muffler wrote:If div three start on the 31st mitcham would not have a ground to train on and then obviously not to play on. Sturt cc will be in finals in most grades with the footy club having no access to the oval. I would imagine sailsbury would have the same problem With northern districts as well. Give the Easter break to soften up the ovals

Not sure how they'll get around it, especially if the cricket clubs have earnt the right to host a GF in a lower grade. We (the football club) have two games at home each week (As/Bs or Cs/Ds), as do Mitcham, TTG, Henley, Uni among others. Can't have all four teams away from home.
The question I have, is why do Div 2 have to have a stand alone GF? Seems it's only going to cause problems. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I know I won't be paying to see the Div 3 GF, then the Div 2 GF a week later, and the Div 1 GF the week after that.

It's about utilizing Thebarton and reducing the need to use Richmond, that way $ stay in the League, which will help keep cost to clubs down
You never know if it works there might even be a reduction in costs to clubs

2007 is the example I used as to how it can work, however, what we're missing is that the league would like to see the d2 final as a standalone. Obviously the timing on this one isn't real good for next season though.

$20 to get in? Did you buy a nice Russian girlfriend at the same time?
Marbles - you really want a video of the GF? I'm sure Flinders Park will give you a copy.
They had someone there videoing it if you really want it.
Your entrance fee of $50 must have included a copy
