Is there a triple header at GG this week against Portland ??

I think it is mate. If it hasnr been discussed is there anyway that we can make it happen? It should be one it would be good to have all grades playing ion the same day especially seeing its the first time our sides will meet. Not just that im looking forward to meeting you and the others for a beer during the day

I will ask tomorrow night and see what they have in mind. Depends on who/where our D grade is playing too I guess but it would be nice to meet you lads for a brew plus I like the triple headers cos it's my only chance to have a kick during the year !!

It was discussed at the club that GG wanted the triple header but were not prepared to return the favour later in the year. I understand that clubs with D grades cant always return but im rather annoyed about the situation. I was told that our club said no and i wasnt advised until late last night :?

That sounds like it would be a great night for it. Weather is good should be a good night.

Was a great night. Weather was perfect, ball didn't seem to be slippery at all, lights were fantastic, BBQ all fired up nice & early, decent crowd. CBCOC started very well & led by a couple of goals at 1/4 time, but the Big Reds kicked 7 goals in the 2nd quarter and held CBCOC scoreless until late in the last quarter, winning by about 10 goals in the end.

Hope to be able to do it some more, so if any other C3 sides would like to be part of it, and if you have the OK to do so, let's make some plans.

A grade beaten, B grade beaten, Lipson and Wareing kicking goals and a Portland win - not a big day at all   Then I just found out Marbles.............aka Satchell coached a winning side for the Portland shockers team and he has no idea. Unbelievable weekend and the Power got beaten as well. North Haven won which is the only good point of the day :D :D

Not even going to bother with a come back. Whats with the Portland Shockers tag. Last time i looked my side was 3 and 2? Anyone can make notes of themselves if they play in the deep depths of Div 5. Something to be real proud of  NOT.

Massive shout out to th GG lads. Pretty much everyone said they go the fist and were a dirty side. They were not like that at all. I will also have to say that your ump was the and probably is the best C3 ump in the division. The best Ump ive ever associated with really. Came in after the game like some of the GG lads and had a beer which no other C3 side has. Looking forward to the return run up there. With the wins that have taken place this week and some of the other results the division is starting to even out a bit which is good to see apart from Flinders doing the usual. Definately looking forward to next week when we take on Seaton at home for our 6th home game in a row. A local derby as a triple header with all three sides taking a win would be great.

Sorry mate, just read this now...
I was out with the B's and then watching the A's. I hope for the triple headers so I can get on the park and have a kick so I'll make sure I catch up ya at the return bout mate.

That would be Ashley Mitchell. He was our A grade coach for three years. He umpired us for a few games in the C grade last year, really fair and can give as good as he gets if he gets some lip! As for the dirty side tag I am surprised with that call Satchel, I played in the C grade for the past three seasons and im back in the D grade this year and I have not really seen this occur. I am just surprised that this is something that any of our teams would be known as?? I know you were not aggreeing with the comment just surprised that there is that perception.

Those exact words came form one of the GG blokes when we were having a sit down chatin the visitors change room after the game. He was the oldest bloke in your side. At the ripe old age of 26! That shows what you guys have been able to do over the past few and it shows the depth. Although wasnt the result you guys were after. Just like every other game their were scenes of biff but it was in the spirit of it and it went no further and when the siren went it stopped tghere, which is what you want to see. My lads at the end also said like i did that your tag was not correct.

So few games in but wanted to put out there what i think the season has become thus far and where it will sit come game time at the end of the minor season. My thoughts and where they will finish

Mitcham: have always given us a touch up or two over the years but seem to have lost it this year: 5th-7th
Flinders Park: Not much more to say other than congrats on the flag AGAIN: GF 1st
Golden Grove: Good side from most reports. only played tehm once. Should gather momentum: 6th-7th
Para Hills: Not the side im used to seeing. Same as GG should pick up the pieces: 5th-8th
Smosh: Always a great side. Not the wins they have been having though: Should play off in GF: 2nd
Pooraka: After the last time we played them i dont see them going to far: 7th-10th
Seaton: Beaten twice last year. Will be tehre come finals time. Hopefully we knock en off this week: 3rd-5th
Pembroke:Know nothing about them. Just the results. Should also be there come finals: 3rd-5th
CBC: Sorry guys I dont think there will be much reward for your efforts this year.10th
Portland: My lads have really picked up the pace so far afetr 2 decent beltings by the top two sides. I feel we will be there come finals. After being in the bottom2-3 over the past few years this year will be very different. 4th-5th

I am pretty confident to say you have no idea!
They are 3 and 2 like You, Seaton and Pembroke. They beat Seaton on the weekend!
They have also lost to the two top teams who are that far ahead of everyone else.
Where do you pull Crap like this from???
