Wow this thread moves quick..

This points system will eventually work it self out..

Last few seasons have been really close in Div 4 & it should be another even divison in Div 4 next season with new sides that have come in..

How many Sides are Clubs aiming to fill this season?

Last Season

A, B, C & D's = Salisbury

A, B & C's = Westminster, Unley, Elizabeth, Fitzroy, Hectorville, Scotch

A & B's = Pultney, Greenacres, Kilburn
(Pultney & Kilburn previously had A, B & C's in '09)

So hopefully these A & B's Clubs are able to fill A, B & C's Sides,

With any Club that does have 3 Teams we hope to organise to play Triple Headers against you as makes for a great day.

(with the exception of Salisbury as they have 4 Teams)
IT'S US AGAINST THEM!!!

I know for a fact that Pulteney are actively trying to get a C grade up and running. A small group of mates have taken it upon themselves to get it going.

Unfortunately IMO these lads are up against it and are pushing the proverbial uphill. Unless they can get the B grade to take a long hard look at themselves and get them to make a commitment to the whole Footy club. I wish those boys all the best for 2011.

On the Coach, has his legal issues been sorted yet and is he staying for another year? Should regain a midfielder from the 2008 team who was overseas last season unless he wants to chase $$$ elsewhere.

Sarge is he going around again. 2011 will be his 3rd season with the club and 4th out of the AFL how many points does he chew up? Could influence the recruiting

From what i've heard, i'd almost expect Kilburn to fill 3 sides next season... 3 competitive sides

Yay first post after a while as a reader.

Its only November and everyone has already recruited heavily, got more sides and are going to be bigger and better for 2011 etc etc
Does anyone think their side will be weaker in '11?
And personally I don't want my club to go out and recruit from a far, don't think it is the right approach for building a sustainably successful club. What do others think?

PR did Fitzroy appoint Shane Mitchell ahead of Chad Bourke as Coach last year? If so the move has appeared to backfire with Bourkey pinching Roy players and Mitchell off to Coach Callington to 50 goal losses.

i believe bourkey had already signed with glenunga.
fitzroy made a mistake last year which will come back and bite them.
as for all the players expected to drop down to div 7,well it shows that pride and ethics have totally disappeared in todays young.
to play with ones mates for the love of the game is one thing but for players and young men to not try to play or do their best in the best possible div is a joke and just shows how money has not only degraded our great game but has turned young people and players into money hungry, unloyal and unethical people.and to blame for this the clubs only have to look at who is running them and their reasons
we stand as one
we fight as one
we win and lose as one
we are one

Unley did not recruit many last year and the reason new recruits came across is because we got a new coach (from with in the club) who brought a few of his mates out, not really recruiting from a far.

fair enough Jetters...I was not saying you went out and splashed $$$$$. Just saying there would have been 6+ " new" players. The new system of points will be a bitch to get even more. ( its not right )
