Look its great to see Ovingham back on the park but again a result like this, what about the sides that got the mercy 60 point rule earlier getting something back here, we all know u cannot predict a result or margin but there are sids her that have probably missed out on a lot of percentage and it could well have a say in the finals make up come the end of the year

Who gives a frogs fat ass about %. Ovies are a 110 year old club and them fielding a side is so very much more important than any % that may or may not be gained from playing them  The survival of suburban clubs is paramount and to Cooky, Rog and the boys who have the balls to front up despite the fact theres a chance you might cop a hiding i tip my hat to you guys and say well done on having so much class.

Good to see the top 2 get knocked off  I want to say well done to Port Districts on their efforts yesterday. Bent us over and gave us a footy lesson but did it in a way that its meant to be done. Gave my young boys a chance to do a bit of on the job learning and played good hard fair footy. To Ovies, im pretty devestated to see the forfeit for you boys. Im well aware of some of the challenges you have faced and hope that you can keep your club alive.

Was a good game played in the right spirit. Gotta give you credit for not giving up trying right up until the final siren. There have been teams that we have played this year that start giving up and start fighting amongst each other. Was a good hit out.

I hear the Nth Pines coach has had to quit and the club feels that they will lose the majority of players he brought out, although the coach was ademant that all players would stick the season out. Could be another Ovies situation coming up in regards to forfeits?

Thats not good news. When we played them his son was B.O.G and you would think they will stick together. When you say "he has had to quit". Was he sacked or do you have more info???

He had to quit due to health reasons was the word from the club. Will know this weekend if all players stick around but as I said the person I spoke to from the club was not confident that this would happen.

i think you'll find there are more reasons that he's leaving other than his health, involving the current committee and some less than responsible behaviour.

but i don't think much else can be said.

on the Ovingham situation. i am very disappointed to say the least. Dave has busted his gut out trying to keep things going and we had 7 blokes (IIRC) that wanted to play on the weekend...

i'm not sure of all the details but on behalf of the OFC i want to apologise to everyone for our season. many reasons as to why it's happened, but without sounding like i'm whinging or a charity case i can't post them.

let's just hope that we can build something that can last for 2011 and get some community involvement, otherwise it'll be bleak again...

This grade has now become a basket case. One club gone and another one on the edge all because the league won't listen and allow for promotion and relegation for C grade sides,
Fourth side to possibly to fold this season a reality as they are playing way out of their depth.

The league made the mistake by allowing 1 team clubs to play in the league. It is fairly obvious that if you can only raise one side your time is not for long in the league.

Time for the Boys in the Bunker to wake up and stop hoping for a perfect competition

More problems will arise if this is allowed to continue.

Percentage is all more important now as it's the only thing that seperates 1st to 5th and now being a 8 team comp the amateur league will more than likely have a top four.

BLAST!!! :o Now our finals hopes are in the toilet and we have only lost 6 games. 2 home games in the first 9 weeks really has killed our season b4 it begun. Well i guess we will have to knock off Broadies at home this week just so we can shake things up a little ;)

Just out of interest, were Ovies, North Pines and Wingies the only three clubs to have one team nominated this season?

 Yeah knocking off Broadies would be good for us, we've got the week off now before playing 4 of the top 5 plus the Piners of which most are away games. Tough run home

That's how it panned out, whether or not any of those sides nominated for 2 teams in Div 7 or just the 1 side in the C section, I'm not sure
