Only a minor point but just wanted to respond to the comment that a police officer is only permitted to do his job when on duty. That is incorrect, being on or off-duty in no way effects an officers powers of arrest etc. An officer also has the ability to recall themselves to duty at any time, although obviously it would need to be in a fairly serious situation that required immediate intervention.

TRUE STORY! a chap goal umpiring a country game got 10 weeks for refusing to wave the flags, was not reported by central umpires but opposing club, all score cards signed off by central umpires. and at no stage was the game stop due to any goal umpire refusing acknowledging a score(play can not commence until score is acknowlaged) . He appealed the scentance (which took 11 weeks to hear) and recived a hole season suspension for doing so. AND THESE BLOKES GO AROUND SMASHING PEOPLES FACES IN AND GET 4 WEEKS   and as previously stated! TRUE STORY

You posted twice you drongo... mate I never knew what aussies rules was until 98 so I doubt I would remember any old day games.. I have seen footage of some games but to me it just looked like a bunch of heros going around trying to kill eachother..

Seems to me that lots of people approve of biffo, unless it actually happens to them, or one of their teammates. Maybe we all might eventually realise the game has changed in the last few decades.

Game has changed alright with flooding, kicking backwards and players getting ruled out for a bump.Dont agree with biffo but dont like the way the game is headed if AFL is how all leagues are headed, would be good if clubs took it on them selfs to get rid of players that go around hitting blokes every week, seems its usually the same blokes from the same clubs
