Top effort from an Elimination Final, to 4 goals down in a GF, to a Premiership.

What happened with the Cahill incident? Wonder how his reception was last night.

An absolutely selfish act. Took a mark, and then decided to kick his opponent quite hard, right in front of the umpire. With him off for the last 2 1/2 quarters, PNU's back line was able to get the upper hand.
I reckon he'd be feeling pretty sorry for himself. Let the team down big time.

To the senior Scotch official who told me "Nick Jolly is over rated" I just want say bahahaha

But I don't want to be to much of a dick about the Premiership as Scotch were the best team during the year and yesterday would have been heartbreaking for them and their supporters. It was an amazing game of Football.

I noticed the game was taped. Who was taping it and where can we get a copy?

Probably one of the best games of ammo footy I've watched.

Thought Smith had the better of Jolly for most of the day, but Jolly showed he only needs to get the ball in his hands a few times to impact on the game.

How could anyone say jolly is overrated. The bloke had an average game compared to his normal standards, but still managed to kick 4 (should have kicked 7), and was clearly the most dominant big man on the oval.
The delivery to him made it easier for the defenders though. Plus the fact that he never gets a free kick from the umpires.

Jolly is a gun no doubt, but I thought he was beaten yesterday.
He got a gift of a free kick in the goal square at the start of the last to get PNU going, but he also hit the post a bunch of times so he could have had more.
Have to consider when looking at the goals he kicked that PNU kick it to him EVERY time they go fwd, and a gun player is always going to kick goals when you have so much delivery. Smith did a good job on him.
Does make it easy for other PNU forwards that even when Jolly doesnt mark it all the backs are thinking about him and so crumbers wind up having a heap of space.
Thought Brimacombe killed it yesterday.

best players seem pretty accurate, brimmas was best for pnu with lowe, thought rowett was beaten on the day though. what were peoples thoughts on the umpiring? thought there were some soft frees but paid both ways. free kicks in front of goals use to be pretty hard to come by but a few were given. Any one have any idea how many grabs brewer took. good game of footy played with good spirits.

Umpires killed payneham throughout the game! Giving scotch about 2 or 3 goals by giving frees that shouldn't have been given right infront of goal, however saying that the ball never lie's and falcons were to good in the last quarter! Up you Falcons!

PNU got lucky at the end though. Cahill, I think, took a clear pack mark in the goalsquare and umpire called play on. Dems the breaks though.

As a mutual spectator i thought the game was a cracking one to watch. I went down there hoping to see the Cahill brothers and Jolly turn it on. Never good to see someone red carded in a grand final...especially the best player in the comp. I didn't think it warranted a red card but maybe a yellow! Umpires tried controlling the game at stages but when the game was free flowing it was one of the better amateur league games i have watched. Scotch should never have let them back in the game but it looked like they ran out of legs in the last and may have got ahead of themselves! I would hate to see what Jolly would be capable of if he was fit...the bloke is a mountain and seems to handle some serious abuse from the sidelines well!

His character, resolve and talent in coping with opponents on and off the field is what makes him a quality player....

Also there as a neutral spectator & thought it was a great game, both teams had their chances. Every time Jolly lined up those posts grew a foot wider, I think he hit them 4 times. Smith did a good job to keep him to 4. Umpiring was pretty decent I thought, a few gifts to Payneham in their forward line that I didn't think were there, but you'll always get that! Couldn't see the red card incident but red cards in finals aren't good to see, not sure if this warranted one...

Big fan of Nick Brewer, anyone who questions his ability doesn't know what they're talking about! 8)

How can you say that it didn't warrant a red card! Cahill kicked brimmas right in the nuts, intentionally! It warrants a red card every day of the week, you can't go kicking players in the nuts!
