is that your combination side, bit like Royal Melbourne Gold Club really, pick the best of two.

Gaza now are assured of top spot, (prob would have got it anyway, but now certain), will they rest players 'Geelong style' over the next 3 rounds to get cherry ripe for the big dance?

The fight between 5 - 8 is red hot. All teams face atleast 1 team above or equal in the next 3 rounds. Gepps appear to be preparing for a large crack.

Do EP, TTG and possibly SN after next week play more youngsters to encourage next years development, possibly losing games a bit easier?

Can anyone outside the top 3 play in the GF, i think its stll evens bewteen Gaza, Goodwood, SHOC.

Good post S/F, SHOC have been the best Div 1 side i have seen this year by a mile and I think in the open spaces of Thebarton Oval there pace and ball movement will be too much for the other sides, we all know Gaza's final history but I believe they will overcome that to an extent this year and make it to the G/F against SHOC with SHOC to win. We are getting alot of our players back however i think this week off may well hurt us as we need these weeks to run these guys into some sort of match fitness

Considering Gaza beat SHOC by about 2 goals and 16 points the first time they played them and about 6 goals 10 the second time it would have to be said they have got them covered.

And Gaza's div 1 final history since 2000 is one grand final win, two grand final losses, two elimination final losses, and 3 preliminary final losses. Not too bad considering the level of the competition and the presence of a Goodwood Saints in the comp. Plenty of the other div 1 clubs would take that.
Man, we ain't found shit!

Yes of course. Broadies ins are finally starting to take effect and look like they could be a tough side to beat from here. Hopefully it's still a bit early to count Henley out as well
The fight for 2 of the top 3 spots still looks very tight between Goodies, SHOC's and Henley. All three play the other two mentioned once and also play Tea Tree Gully. Goodies and SHOC's having a one game advantage over Henley.
Locky, find it interesting as a Broadies supporter, the last three games you have beaten Goodies by 21pts, lost to gaza by 17pts, lost to Henley by 42pts and lost to SHOC's by 66pts yet rate Goodies, SHOC's and Gaza as equal chances.
Personally I think it's still gaza's to lose, Goodies are starting to look ominous but had their usual hickup around this time of year probably from getting their usual run into their legs before finals, while SHOC's scraped over the line against Salisbury but Henley didn't against Gepps. Broadies should finish 5th and think it is one hell of a long way to GF from there. Some big games the next 3 weeks will determine who the challenger(s) to Gaza will be IMO.

Fifth spot up for grabs......... Broadview? PHOS? and Gepps? Broadies have the inside running but don't rule out the other two.

Like to think the boys could hold onto 5th spot. 3 winnable games coming up, you never know though. Gepps, Sals Nth and Phos all chasing, but all have to play Gaza so you'd think it'd be tough for all of them to win all 3 remaining to get 5th spot. Injuries are an issue come this time of year, god knows we've been hit hard.

Some huge upsets in all Divisions :o . Well done to the East Park boys. Dwight Reserve may well be the Amateur league fortress as they have recently defeated last years GF R-up SHOC and 2010 and probably 2011 finalist Broadies today and comfortably at that =D>
I saw first hand just how tough Div 1 was so well done to Dusty and the boys....Will Dusty be there next year?????

Division one, is tough every week. This week at Duncan Fraser Reserve will be no different, the powerful GAZA take on the young
Rams from GEPPS CROSS. If you enjoy watching good footy, get there early or you will have to park on Hampstead road. Should be an epic
battle.

You would hope Dusty is there next year. Takes them to a Flag and Div 1 for the first time in the clubs history and has seen what needs to happen to stay in Div 1 now. Surely EP would give him the chance to get them back up there.

Would have to question his leadership i'd say. Haven't before seen a coach swear and carry on at opposition supporters like that. Giving female supporters the wank wank signal ain't super! Also, the 2 Red cards and numerous behind the play incidents don't go un-noticed. Bluffed our guys right out of the game, so if thats his game plan, well done. But will be hard to keep wining games when blokes are suspended each week. Oloughlin is a washed up hack and deserves every week he gets for his behind play hits.

Havent seen any EP games this yr (obviously) but that doesnt sound like good leadership. Pity to hear about EP still playing dirty when they go on about cleaning up their act over the last few years.

Sounds a lot like sour grapes to me and I lot like the tactics used by the broadview players to try and control Shaun Gatto on Saturday because let's face it, anything other than the fists and elbows the broadview players threw at him obviously didn't work. We wont mention what happened 2 minutes before the end of the b grade game which resulted in the melée just before the siren and an eastern park player lying in hospital right now needing a facial reconstruction to multiple fractures. It would seem that some need to worry about there own backyard before attempting to taint anothers!
I honestly thought that eastern park had a questionable game plan until I saw what broadview put forward om the weekend, absolute rabble! I guess that's what happens when you have a bunch of imports that couldn't give a shit about the jumper they play for, when push came to shove the team that had the players with their heart in the right place prevailed.
On the red cards, doesn't that mean EP played 20 min of the game with only 17 on the field? And still managed to blow the margin out to 5 goals, shouldve been 6.
And as for Ricky O, it says a lot about the broadview defence if a "washed-up hack" can kick 4 goals in 3 quarters of Footy!

Could be here all night going backwards and forwards but the proof is always in the pudding that the retaliater gets caught and all 3 cases come as a result of retaliation to the pure thuggery of some broadview players and you can take that from someone close to the incidents rather than being a supporter that simply just sees the aftermath!
And wow another cheap shot coming from someone at broadview, just water off a ducks back though really, at EP we're Proud of the Past & Confident of the Future!!

I'm guessing you will car pool for your lads on Wednesday night then. Rehearsing the story that your boys were just unlucky that all 3 got caught 'retaliating'. Pretty sure when talking to someone on Sunday that a goal umpire launched one of the reports?? Behind play, no never at EP
