Is it ok to swing and elbow and make head high contact with an opponent. This verdict may set off a chain reaction where other clubs may refer back to this very decision. Any way decision is done lets move on. Who is going to tip the winners for this week.

Here Here Cracker...

Winners this week (FC's Kiss o' death, cos I have a habit of putting the wood on clubs :( )

Seaton will be too good for a Modbury with no Jolly....

SHOC and Scotch is like the impossible game to pick, I almost want to pick a draw except that there cant be one, the outcome will depend somewhat on how many Sturt boys Scotch lose.. AAAGH! Cant pick a winner, so I say the winner on the day will be whoever kicks the biggest score...

I think it is almost as bad as lying to a tribunal..
I dont think the victim should have any say in it.
If its outside the rules of the game its just that - outside the rules of the game and therefore it should be penalised.
$15000 should do it. Like Brown from Hawthorn
Im sure PNU have got enough cash to back it up

Scotch lost 4 of the Sturt blokes 2 weeks ago which means they won't be back. SHOC's score last week was a bit sketchy against Kilburn but I wouldn't mind betting they rested a few. SHOC at home would have them as favorites.

The whole reporting, suspension and tribunal system in the SAAFL is a bit hit and miss really. I remember watching a Districts game towards the end of last year when Alf Steed got absolutely cleaned up very late within the first few minutes into the game, right in front of the umpire as well. No report, but think Steed had a pretty badly broken jaw. I reckon it was in the game against Edwardstown that decided who would get relegated, Districts lost the game and their best player. Seasons end got relegated to Div 2 on %. I suppose what goes around comes around.

this is definately 1 area that the SAAFL are a long way behind there seems to be no consitency when players are reported
still believe that it has a lot to do with people affiliated with clubs still having an input into the goings on at SAAFL house

I know, but fact is if they had one that game they would have stayed in Div 1!! That being said Div 2 has been good to them this year.

Seasons can come down to one game, look at Gaza, great all season, stuff up the Prelim. Season wasted!

Pretty strange call Newman, I know if I had blood intentionally flicked on me I'd be "whinging and moaning" all I could to try and get the guy rubbed out for as long as possible! Clearly that incident has absolutely no relevance to this one!

Shaz- I don't care about the tribunal result- even though I believe the system in SAAFL is a joke! but don't use Steed's broken jaw as an example or excuse! That incident was a collision of players both going for the ball- in fact if you do remember the guy who made the contact actually came out with the ball- don't exxagerate and insinuate things that didn't happen!!

Mate, I don't really give a stuff whether Christofis got off or not!! Definately not using te Steed incident as an excuse, and display how people can see incidents differently. You say both players were going for the ball, I say Steed was in possession of the ball, had gone forward and kicked it into the 50m and got whacked. Same game, two different eye witness accounts!!

Only know things about Districts as I probably get to see more of their games than other clubs as I live around the area and head done to games with some of my mates or other half if I have time. Definately not involved in the inner sanctums, just call things as I see them from a spectators point of view or from the other side of the fence so to speak. Have never played for Districts, but have had a few mates that have played down there over the years, that's about it :)

Sharks, Seaton will not have to play Sacred Heart in the finals
this year.

Once they beat Modbury and then Districts they will be straight
into the GF and sacred heart will not make it.
