I see you have been named in your favourite position.

Ha!

And you have been named in your favourite position aswell, fancy that.

Very deserving because you'll do a good job of it.

Thought it would be worth mentioning Kenilworth Football Club legend Michael Gilmour will tomorrow be the first man in the clubs 109 year history to play 300 games of senior football. Mick will be completing this is the C grade which starts early at 10.15 and kicks off a big day of triple headers at St.Marys Park.

Mick's Kenilworth playing achievements just to name a few include being a dual premiership player, team of the century member,SAAFL A2 and A6 medallist, SAAFL representative, League leading goal kicker, numerous time best and fairest and one of the hardest and best footballers I have seen play in any suburban competitions in his prime.

I heard last night that he has played at least 560 senior games of footy and in my opinion has always represented the Kenilworth Footy Club very well and created a good image for our proud club.

Thanks mate.

NH A grade won by around 90 points today and B grade won by 20 goals. Very good start for us.

Thought we played OK for wooden spoon favourites. Got lucky though, so everyone can rest easy, we'll lose the next 17 and be in D5 in 2016.

Salisbury were first to the ball more often, and were much cleaner with their disposals. They seemed (to a first-time observer) to be a disciplined unit, and would be competitive against most sides the way they played today.

The scoreline would've been worse, had Kilburn not scored four of its' five goals in the last quarter.

This proves the theory that trial games mean absolutely nothing.

Played in a SAAFL rep side in 97 and after whilst getting out of my training gear after a gruelling session, A certain Mick Gilmour lept out of the showers showing everyone "the Helicopter". Its one way to get to know your team mates I suppose. Well Done to him!

Another shout out to an upcoming 300 gamer. The much maligned Trent 'Weasel' Kolbig from North Haven, will be playing his 300th in Round 3 against Salisbury. Credit to a bloke who started playing footy for the Haviary as an U/9 junior, and has managed to be a regular in the A Grade side for the past 15+ years. He has experienced the lows of relegation, and the highs of promotion, but still yearns to get his hands on the 'Holy Grail'. Hopefully the boys can get him a win and have a cutla bevvies post-game ;-) #havens

Kilburn will improve, give them a few weeks to adjust and they'll begin firing. Remember they've been in positions where they're behind the 8-ball early and have managed to work their way back.
