Pnu by 6 pts after being 5 goals down in the 3rd.
Scotch should of been up by heaps at 3qtr time, but blew chances.
P.cahill sent off with a red in the 2nd.
Pnu got a ride with the umps in the 2nd half.
Good game, scotch should never had lost.

Should be a great contest...Macca has tuned PNU beautifully in the lead up to the finals an the hit out against Seaton won't have hurt them. I agree Jolly kicking goals is a given if Falcon are going to win, but Scotch has arguably the best defence in that Comp. I think they also have more options up front and the bigger ground will suit there style of game. Having been involved in competitions against both sides in he past and in the spirit of competition I think the Scotch will take the Flag.....but not with any certainty..... The crowd whatever number rolls up should be well entertained.
The bigger oval will suit Scotch, it's another kick to get to Jolly, Brewer will probably get him and be able to handle him better than what Furst could last week with his size.

Payneham have had a gallant run, but Scotch are all class and have matchwinners everywhere. Cahill x 2, Twopeny x 2, Thorpe, Nicholson, Lagonik etc, Too much class all over the ground. Sorry PNU. Scotch by 8-10 goals.

100% Correct, plenty of class all over the ground at Scotch.

BUT Premierships are often won by the TEAM that settles first, keeps their collective nerve and works the hardest as a group for 4 quarters.

Head says Scotch, Heart says Falcons. Go Falcons!

Go Falcons! It's never over till it's over 8)

I was down there today. What a great comeback by the boys. great atmosphere.
Sven, Roberts, jolly, and Lowe were all brilliant.

I wonder if Cahill will get the best team man award after today? Didn't get too much of it..... Oh, except for 1 good kick

After being on a week long bender celebrating the results of the div 5R medal count this little EEL had the joy of watching my old boy Peter Love win a flag today. Big ups to all the old Birdwood Roosters tearing it up with the mighty PNU Falcons.

Great game of footy at thebby today!!! Both teams where wasteful al times. Scotch could have put the game away in the 1st quarter but bad kicking is bad footy. Jolly is such a prencence and got on the end of a few he I thought his opponent did a pretty good job especially in the first 3/4. I duno what Cahill was thinking apart from not much it was a ridiculously selfish act!!!! Paynehams tackling pressure in the last quarter was brilliant and well done to the umpires for a consistent display all day. Well done to PNU and congrats to Macca and Sponge.... Macca 4 grandfinals 3 flags

Cahill - 1 effective kick , Scotch - 2 effective chockes. Over confidence is a tough burden to carry.

Couldn't have been any prouder out there watching some of my old team mates pull on that Payneham jumper today with so much pride. Went into the game as underdogs, got off to a shitty start and thought it was 2009 all over again, but to their credit they stuck with Scotch all day and came out in the last quarter and showed them what class and composure is all about. Such a young side and they really stepped up today when it mattered. Macca has done absolute wonders with Payneham and really silenced his critics today! He is all about youth and if Macca stays at Payneham and can keep developing the juniors the way he has over the last few years then they will be a formidable line up in Division 1 in the next few years. Well done Falcons and celebrate hard cause you bloody deserve it!

As I stated in an earlier post, PNU best team we played in the second half of the season, and as we played them in the last round, we saw that they were peaking at just the right time. Nothing to lose against an opposition with lots to lose. As for bad kicking, Jolly hit the post 3 times so kinda makes up for Scotch's gips. Poor Scotch tho.. 2 GF losses each by 6 points.. how would they be feeling right now? ;)

I reckon I might ask BOP for the next lotto numbers. He, at the time weirdly, picked PNU (early in the season) to play in a GF and then predicted an outrageous crowd prediction of 3000.Yesterday’s official gate count at Thebarton was 2850
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Congrats to PNU, I was pretty bullish about Scotch's chances and thought that their class all over the ground (including players 19-22, which I thought were a lot better than PNUs) would show through, but I was wrong and credit to Macca, Tyson and the rest of the club. Top effort from an Elimination Final, to 4 goals down in a GF, to a Premiership.

What happened with the Cahill incident? Wonder how his reception was last night.
