I doubt Portland would want to see the footage in question. They have vehemently opposed the use of video evidence at the tribunal in the past.

This is the first i have heard of us asking for the footage, but hey you know the saying, if you cant beat them, join them :D

Atleast you guys went back in, down at chic land on the weekend modbury had 3 blokes come in afterwards, jolly, the trainer and a b grader. Piss poor IMO.

dont take offence Tiga, unfortunately with the very young squad we have (some cant legally drink yet or on their Ps) the young fellas arent interested in a beer and a chat after a game and we have a number on new fathers who have family commitments. Its nothing personal but thats the way it is.

All clubs/coaches should encourage all of their players to head into the opposition's clubroom after games. It's an important part of amateur sport. The young fellas have to know (and learn) this. It's not an onerous task.

Totally agree. Even if u are not 18, go in grab a soft drink.
Clubs will return the favour on the return leg and footy clubs like Kilburn can pay their players on time..
The young Modbury fellas missed out on an opportunity to have a chat with Kilburn's dual premiership fullback.

I have heard that a certain Walkerville A grader has been reported for an incident against Portland on the weekend. The game was being filmed by Walkerville. I wonder if the SAAFL will make use of this resource at the tribunal tonight? Video footage was all the rage at hearings last year. I know Walkerville have been reluctant to release the footage in question, as it has already been requested by Portland.

I have just heard there would be no reason for us to be asking for the video evidence as the walkerville coach from the weekend had seen the footage and is taking it to the tribunal as part of there defence. so cant see why we would be trying to get it and use it as evidence to convict.

On other News Rumour has it Portland may have snagged a prize recruit from Henley, Apparently a Ruckman who is on the verge of breaking in to the Henleys As was spotted at his second recovery session with the Portland lads this season on the weekend, Watch this space

If only Adel Uni were involved, the League would BEND OVER BACKWARDS for them.
Not anyone else especially Portland!

Walkies beat Mod by 3 goals. Inaccurate in front of the big sticks again this week 13-15 to 12-3.

Close games all over Div 2 this round.

Game was played hard and fast with a lot of hard "gets". Just an outstanding game of football by two evenly matched teams that literally went down to the wire. Charlie Rae (7) at one end with Mark McCallum (5) at the other played their part. Biggest margin at any stage was 13 points
SMOSH WL 3-3 7-3 10-3 13-9
KILBURN 3-1 5-7 7-11 12-13

TBS was inconsolable..... was seen ordering and drinking a glass of water post match inside the clubrooms. ;)

Great game down at West Lakes on saturday. Amateur footy still hard to beat watching due to the commitment and man on man games still played. Charlie Rae a huge hurdle for other sides in this comp, his marking and general footy nous too good for our defenders. Game could have gone either way at the end but SMOSH WEST LAKES deserved the win. Kilburn missed Mickey Howson and Corey Pressler but welcomed back "Claw"McCullum' (5 goals) and Cameron Williams. Expect Kilburn to just get stronger from here on in, and they will need to in what is a very tight comp.

Fantastic Win for the Lions against a gallant and determined Kilburn side. Obviously have lost 4 in a row against the Chics so was nice to get one back on them. Tough, hard Match and big credit to the Kilburn lads who came in for a beer afterwards - look forward to returning the favour. Even though he Kicked five, the Job on McCallum from James Lunn was super - MCcallum could have had a field day if not for Lunny. Charlie Rae is a Hog, and needs to learn to pass. Molymeux is best player we've come up against this year IMO.

Although he only kicked 1 against gepps and was very well held for the first 3 quarters, his impact in the last quarter was huge.

Saw what I believe could be a contender for Mark of the Year. On a day not suited for the high flying grabs.....a Gepps Cross Player, (might have been Stengle and I stand to be corrected on the name of the player by any of the GC faithful) became airborne....was actually horizontal..... before taking the pill on the finger tips and then went aquaplaning for the next twenty plus meters along the ground. Incredible mark.....and unfortunately!!!.........did the right thing by kicking the goal for Gepps :) ..... Great mark given it was raining along with the heavy conditions... :supz:

Can't add anything too inciteful as I wasn't there, but heard that Walkies were given a ride from the umpires in an AFL rules interpretation display. Something in the vicinity of 40 to 15 free kicks and apparently 7 goals as a result of a free kick.

Great game of footy between port districts and walkerville. Umpiring was hideous, and somewhat tainted the game. Several free kicks and 25 m penalties for ridiculous things in front of goal for both teams. The oval held up very well in the wet
