So we can look forward to it being grossly under-catered for then?

3,000 people. When they layed the new grass at Gaza did they use the Dicky Jones marahoochie variety. I think 1,500 tops mate. Thankfully they moved our C grade GF from 12.15 miles away to 10am at Kilburn so that should get the expected 200+ PNU C grade players, staff and supporters to be able to attend both games as i read you can get pass outs between grounds.

Either way it will be a cracking day at Thebby. Id love another nail bitting thriller like last week. It was a superb prelim final.

I was mocked for predicting PNU making the GF. So mock me on this if you dare
Hopefully the weather stays good, and the usual gale blowing to the southern end on GF day doesn't happen.

As for the dicky jones variety, if that was the case at gaza, there wouldn't anything left to play on TJ ;)

Appreciate the vote of confidence mate.
It'd be a dream to coach gaza one day. Just a touch green at the moment I think :D

If Jolly kicks more goals than points, but more than 3 goals, PNU will win. The big ground will work against them though.

I am predicting a massive crowd though. Most college sides tend to get big crowds at their GF's, and combined with PNU's huge following, I predict 3000 people to attend.

Should be a great contest...Macca has tuned PNU beautifully in the lead up to the finals an the hit out against Seaton won't have hurt them. I agree Jolly kicking goals is a given if Falcon are going to win, but Scotch has arguably the best defence in that Comp. I think they also have more options up front and the bigger ground will suit there style of game. Having been involved in competitions against both sides in he past and in the spirit of competition I think the Scotch will take the Flag.....but not with any certainty..... The crowd whatever number rolls up should be well entertained.

The bigger oval will suit Scotch, it's another kick to get to Jolly, Brewer will probably get him and be able to handle him better than what Furst could last week with his size.

Payneham have had a gallant run, but Scotch are all class and have matchwinners everywhere. Cahill x 2, Twopeny x 2, Thorpe, Nicholson, Lagonik etc, Too much class all over the ground. Sorry PNU. Scotch by 8-10 goals.

100% Correct, plenty of class all over the ground at Scotch.

BUT Premierships are often won by the TEAM that settles first, keeps their collective nerve and works the hardest as a group for 4 quarters.

Head says Scotch, Heart says Falcons. Go Falcons!

PNU were easily the best team in Div 2 throughout 2009 and looked like they had a mortgage on the Premiership but ran into a Broadview line up that fired on all cylinders and took there chances on the day. They shot out to an early lead and we couldnt peg them back.

Scotch may be heavy favourites but this is a Grand Final and this result is far from a certainty. With favouritism comes a burden that may create some psychological pressure. God i hope so anyway :)

If PNU are within striking distance at 3/4 time they will be a real chance i think. Their last quarters in the finals series have been sublime and they have at least a half a dozen 17-21 year olds who will actually relish the oppurtunity to use the space and their blinding leg speed. The job on the Cahill brothers will be crucial whoever gets those roles. Its gonna be a cracker of a day, a huge crowd and hopefully a great football spectacle.

PNU in an upset 1-12. 8)

I think over looking PNU this week is tough. Although Scotch may have run etc on the big oval. For me PNU have a lot of talent also around the ground. It may be an extra kick to Jolly but his ground work is fantastic. I dont think i would be too concerned being a little further up the ground with that leg of his. Dont be surprised if PNU have a few surprises for Scotch up their sleeve. Never discount the underdog but i feel that in a GF that tag is far from relevant. For me PNU in a close one. Too physical for Scotch.

There's a very small place deep down in my heart that wishes PNU well.

However, the fact that I don't have a sentimental bone in the rest of my body over-rides this...

Therefore, Go Scotch 8)

Before round 18 I couldn't see anyone getting over Scotch or Seaton for a GF spot. We then played pnu in the final minor round, and they beat us more comprehensively than any other team in the latter half of the season. I reckon with a full line up and nothing to lose being the underdog, PNU will get there. Scotch will remember, with a lot of pain, last year's 6 point loss in the GF and will have the jitters, and with the physical pressure PNU will bring, may drop the bundle. Either way, both sides have earned a spot and deserve success so good luck to everyone associated with both clubs. Div three was a solid comp this year and wins were in the main hard work. I agree it'll be a cracker game but the big win for these two clubs is not to have to take part in the 'travel fest' that is Div 3 next year. We need to get a travel agent as a sponsor :?

Wouldnt surpirse me. 3 attempts and out in 3 straight sets. If the palyers arent up to it then it should be across the board. I wont hide it that i have negative feelings towards a few down there but a club like that will need to rebuild and do it quickly especially without the weekly money tree during footy season no longer providing income.

If both sides play to their potential Scotch will win, they simply have the most talented list in the comp.
I reckon most of the lads out at Scotch are a pretty good bunch of blokes as well.
In saying that f**k Scotch, up the Falcons!
