Pag, rolled out for first training since christmas tonight and apparently we have you lads in a trial match.

Might actually get one of those under my belt this year because cricket finishes earlier then normal...

Should I be expecting the great pagermanis to be tagging me :D

Good to see ???? has taken the message and is shutting up about his beloved Kilburn. Have not heard a word for 2 weeks now, which is great for the club as now everyone is not getting into Kilburn. Hear on the grapevine that Mr O'Connor might have had a little chat to ???? about him telling everyone about Kilburn on this forum. Cant really blame Ocker for that. A coach is trying to let out as little as possible and keep everything under wraps and one guy is letting everything out of the bag. Good to see ????, that you have eventually learnt not to let everything out.

Will help Kilburn heeps ???? without having everything except their game plan all put on this forum. I guess that might have been next. Smart and astute coach is Ocker and will have them firing when it counts. One of the great A1 Coaches and football men going around anywhere in footy for the last 15 years or more.

Can see a Kilburn - Flinders Park Grand Final coming up. Look out for Flinders Park as they are a good side and picked up a lot of players. Are definately flying under the radar.

Like O'Connor - Sean Jackson is equally a fantastic coach and will test every coach in the league with his tactics. The two best teams with the best players also have the 2 best Coaches going around as well. No coincidence about that.

Will want to do your homework really well to be smart enough to do O'Connor or Jackson, even if they have a bad day.

occa has a very good recent record, however 1 of the great A1 coaches is over the top, took kilburn to two or three finals series and never won 1 game. out in straight sets on two occassions, that i remember. hardly the credentials of a great A1 COACH

Very well put amateur football, I dont know Occers record in town that well, But has had a major impact on two BLG sides in Willaston and Barossa. In a nine team comp have a look at this for a record

Willaston 2001 Finish 8th
Occer arrives in 2002 Finish 5th
2003 2nd
2004 3rd
Barossa 2002- 2004 bottom
Occer arrive 2005 5th
2006 1st
2007 1st

Having played under Occer at Willaston, he had the ability to change a culture of the club, not only the players but
the supporters, members and the under age side, Sure Kilburn might have signed alot of new players, but i would bet
all players have gone to Kilburn to be coached by this guy, as i did at Willaston. Your comments about Occer tells me one more thing also. How little Hafey knows about our great game.......... remember Hafey in just over 12 months you will be playing Kilburn I would suggest you crawl back in your cave as you did last september as the more you dripple the more firepower you give Occer and the Kilburn Footy Club

Tired Tiger - you do have a point there, but what you have left out is the horrendous injury record that Kilburn had both approaching those finals series and during them.

They were not injuries that could be adjusted through the Coach and training styles. He had guys with broken legs, ankles, arms, knee recons, etc, etc.

So sure you have a point but perhaps not aware of all of the reasons.

I have been on his team at Kilburn when at Kilburn and you would not get a more disciplined, rat cunning, smart and better Coach than O'Connor in Amateur League. He recruits players, trains them, becomes their father figure and generally looks after each of them.

Certainly I can think of a few coaches as good as Ocker, but certainly none to surpass him.

Have spent the last 7 year as the Assistant Coach to Hodges as well at Seaton, Henley, Port Adelaide and back to Seaton and he also is brilliant. Pity that he is crook this year and can not coach due to illness.

The guy you had the last few years in Tony Burgess always made you think darn hard about everything he was doing. You did not have a great side at Broadview during Burgess time and a few years ago, many suggested that the great Broadview would be heading to A2. Would think that it was the work of Tony Burgess and his coaching that saved your bacon that year, as he was a most formidable opponent.

Sean Jackson at Gepps Cross also made you think about everything. Very astute coach.

These are the views from the opposition Coaches box Tiger and generally you know who are the difficult ones to break and the ones whom you can beat. Whilst I wont denegrate any Coach on this forum, there were some in A1, that were much easier than others to read an ultimately defeat. When a guy like Hodges, really rates opposition coaches, you know they are a formidable opponent in the coaches box.

Would not mind having O'Connor and Hodges, coaching my side if I were an A1 club there, Tired Tiger

Rumour has it Matt 'Massive' Kluzek can be found out at Flinders park this year!

Division three and Kluey reeks of Lennox Lewis fighting Bill Gates.

Brad Man - dont even worry about discussing Hafey on this site as it only gives him some thoughts of self importance. Have heard he is not even wanted down at his beloved "Districts", so probably sums it up.

The football brain of Hafey and the writings of a fool. You could probably write anything decent that Hafey had to say about Football, Ocker or life on the Back of a Matchbox "in crayon". Dont even give the guy any credability by speaking about him. People with that little knowledge only thrive when given the green light from people who argue with him. "O'Connor has forgotten more about football than Hafey has ever been taught".

Bit like chalk and cheese really, and Hafey is the crumbled white powder on the floor that everyone keeps walking on. He really has a problem with Kilburn and Steve. Probably all of those sleepless nights that Ocker gave Districts during the 90's, when they kept smashing them and winning Premierships.

Sorry - Districts were in A2 for most of that time anyway, so perhaps Hafey might not even remember that

I'd love to have his knowledge, just not have to read it for half an hour

I guess that's what makes everyone unique. If we all liked the same thing it would be a boring world. Personally, I'd rather watch the movie than read the book!!

I was playing Poker last night with a few blokes that are playing in a couple of the div 3 northern sides, and word is that S/West coach Francis has been spotted out training with Port District.

Can anyone here from westies shed some light on this! Apparently had a bit of a run in with a familiar family name down there!

Up shite _____ with out a paddle!
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.
