Its not hard to stuff it up with so many on the bench. It made our assistant coach paranoid about us doing it ourselves in a game ever since that night!

DJ you maybe able to help.

Brahma Lodge are about to sign a MASSIVE name for 2012. Straight out of league football and will dominate Div. 5

Wish I had stayed 1 more year.

I'm sure most brahama lodge supporters, are in aggreeance and don't believe half of what's written, but there were stand outs in 2010, but because all the recruits have no vested interest in the club, the club will not go forward. Breed a bunch of loyal youth and bide ya time in D5. 1 league dominator counts for 0 in div5. Clubs will just run a fit tag and annoy him coz he won't have league support around him. Success MUST centre around youth or your mercenaries will leave and you stagnate or spiral

I'm sure our U/12's would be competitive in Div 5

Yep, and in the mean time keep recruiting guys who play for cash. Coach or money goes, they go

What do u suggest they do all u can hope for is the guys u recruit are descent blokes who enjoy playing at the club and stick around its not like Salisbury or Salisbury nth who have had junior sides for decades.only thing that pisses u off is when they poach players from neighbouring clubs

It's a balancing act but I guess as we are the only club that pays we have to take good with bad

But I look forward to your insights on all the problems at our club and am sure we can use your wealth of club administration to fix it all 8)

But...

Move up the Divisions and you are a better chance of keeping those juniors.

In a perfect world, where no club pays players and it was purely amateur, then your argument would have some validity. However, there are very few clubs who do not pay players, in most grades of amateur football. You would have to be living in a "make believe or fantasy world," should you not believe that all clubs do not try to recruit from one another. Only the clubs who do not pay, have no money, or do not believe in the payment of players tend to get on here and rant about the payment of players, as over 90% of all clubs and coaches and their staff will do it. Recruiting and running a football department, is a juggling act to incorporate the payment to players, premierships for members and supporters, points, playing juniors and a side range of other considerations. If a club like Brahma Lodge has no juniors coming through other than U12's, then they really have no alternatives to recruit outside of their own, as these kids are some 7 to 10 years away from having an impact on a game. The name might be amateur football, but lets not kid ourselves and think that no other club tries to recruit from one another or pay players. It is a dog eat dog world in football, much like life, so if any of us do not expect that our clubs will be raided by other clubs each season and players not take the best offer, then unfortunately some people are living in a fantasy land and need to get a grip of reality. This is not about Brahma Lodge but all clubs.

Which is hard to do if you don't keep them in the first place. Bit of a vicious circle

can hardly blame salisbury for having a great club with good people that people want to play at. north pines paralowie have no sides salisbury west has only 2. salisbury have 4. wonder why that is maybe something to do with the running of the club and you cant be blamed for running a good club that people want to play at.
1. Moses 2. Smasha 3. powerport 4. Carey 5. open for nominations
