What happened to the lad. Was it like the Trent hentschel injury or worse. 2 years out of the game geez it mustv been horrific.....

Seeing a photo of it mate, its bloody horific! The fella will come back from it, no doubt. He is a strong kid. Bloody said though!

yeah pretty spot on. I think the medial is ok, and the femur was ok. But yeah, the rest was pretty much done.
Also I think because someone partly landed on it too.

Geez that's pretty brutal!!! For all that to happen at once is horrific. Hope his recovery goes well and he doesn't have any complications. You never wish that upon anyone

It is the most horrific injury I've seen in the SAAFL. Wish the lad a speedy recovery but for mine my advice would be to take up another sport with less impact.

News to me seeing i set the oval up on Sundays at Broadview for the kids, whoever told you that is full of hot air, there was probably less mess to clean up than the previous 2 weeks and I only picked up one broken bottle and that was in the carpark

Great stuff locky, nothing like letting the truth get in the way of a good rumour hey, I take my hat off to the EPFC in their efforts to curb the public perception of them.

Saturday Night Div 1 Football "Under-lights" (4th June at 5:30pm): Henley Sharks vs Goodwood Saints at Henley Oval.

Reserves start at 3pm. Bar, canteen and BBQ all available.

Everyone and anyone is invited. Make sure to rug up, bring warm clothes and possibly your favourite fold out chair to get comfy and watch a great game and spectacle.

No local AFL or SANFL games on at same time so come along.

The lights have been improved considerably. More than adequate for a night match.

Broadview look like running into some decent form with a large list of quality ins, but the real surprise packet is the young German speedster Thomas Schlicker, would have to be looking at heading to a league club soon? I hear he lives in the Central District zone, so the doggies should be looking. Plenty of young talent at broadies looks the goods too

If the result i have just heard is right, broadies now 3 in a row just got told they beat PHOS by 13 goals hope its true

The lights have been improved considerably. More than adequate for a night match.

Went to the game last night & the lights were working well.
Henley would of made sh!t loads last night as their was a big crowd & plenty of throffies going down.
I must say they do things well down there & i can see now why they can afford the big club renovations.
Night games are a big hit i say especially when they don't clash with AFL games.
Good win aswell.

Got told yesterday that Rosewater have just been given $2M, most of it coming from the PAEC to upgrade their clubrooms too. I thought their oval precinct was under a purchase agreement with Mt Carmel College but that must have hit a snag somehow or they wouldn't be spending those dollars I don't think.

PAEC have allocated $1.7M in their next budget. Clubrooms will be demolished at the end of this season. I know nothing of a purchase agreement with Mt Carmel.

The Mt Carmel College as I understand it from a PAEC councillor, a couple of years ago wanted to purchase the entire block up to the train line, it must have fallen through or got squashed at council. Rosewater were handed a $300K Govt cheque on Saturday for the balance of the $2M.

I'm confused How does Rosewater's oval upgrade relate to Div 1?

They were in A1 - D1 1973-79 & again in 1983 and never been back since!

I'm not sure why Seagull felt a need to raise us in here but we do have 1 more A1 premierships than a lot of other clubs.
