Gepps Cross given the win and jump to 5th with 14pts

This puts a fair dent in the rest of the comp fighting for 5th. Gepps kissed on the dick in the biggest way.

Seeming they lost by 3 points and Harder kicked a goal I'd say justice prevails.he shouldn't have been able to play regardless.

Who's to say his replacement wouldn't have kicked one, or three, or five?

If my aunt had a penis, she'd be my uncle.

It was on the SAAFL website that his permit was approved, if we knew anything like this was going to come from it we definitely wouldn't have played him.. in saying that though, if the SAAFL were only going to strip us of a win and 2 points which puts us back in a hard spot, they should never have approved it in the first place? It's ridiculous how in this day and age, something like this can still happen! I'm still having trouble understanding how we were in the wrong or deserve to get punished it any way? We put in a permit, it was approved, we won a game of footy.. but what puzzles me most is how for some unknown reason, gepps cross suddenly get awarded them points in a game they lost? Lol exactly like pag said, the player that would have filled his spot could have kicked 5 for all we know?

All saafl clearances get auto-approved.

Permits need to be applied in writing to the league.

Alright, so if that's the case which was unknown to us obviously and as much as it's pretty ridiculous to autonapprove permits if your only gonna strip teams of points at a later date, the question still stands as to why gepps cross get rewarded points in a losing game? Lol

I've come in a bit late here so excuse me if I'm telling you shit you all already know = but there are certain rules around applying permits and it's to the best of my knowledge that Whop didn't come under any of those rules, or broke the rules on one end by making himself unavailable for a rep side to go and play for a club that he had no prior alignment with.

Or something like that anyway ;)

Same way as if any ineligible player plays an Adelaide Footy League game it's a forefit?

Would you have the same rationale though if Edwardstown played a Division 1 or 2 player or against Salisbury this week because Division 1 and 2 have the bye and a permit was somehow allowed through? (pure hypothetical here)

What if the Adelaide Crows take the field in Edwardstown's place on permits and beat Salisbury by 50 goals?

Who's to say the replacement Edwardstown players wouldn't also beat Salisbury by 50 goals?

Got to draw the line somewhere, adherence to the rules would seem to be the appropriate place to start.

Which leads to another question:

Could a Div 7 side beat a D1R side? :-k

well put it this way Pag, Harder was available for one game to a club he's never played for.Someone made way for him to come in so that was probably the bloke who would've kicked 3 or 5 goals lol. They played with matches and got burnt.
To be quite honest I reckon our league shouldn't let anyone chasing money in country leagues have a permit full stop.

Completely agree with this last statement.

I still maintain Gepps have been kissed on the dick, perhaps through no fault of their own, they just happened to be the club drawn against EP on that particular day.

Not kidding there. Over the years Ingle Farm haven't had the best reputation and things like that also can in do some of the work the club has done. Calling other clubs full of volunteers and hard working people shit or ordinary clubs is completely disrespectful on a public forum.
