Mitcham obviously don't want to draw alot of attention to him from the opposition in the coming weeks.

I ventured out to Mitcham and that was a sickening incident. The bloke looked like he was in a lot of pain. It seemed to me that the ambulance took quite a long time to get there too. A grade game was a spectacle to watch. If sides can stop big Quinn up forward for mitcham it seems they are halfway there but when he is up and running the rest of the team follows. He was far and away best for mitcham but noticed the paper didn't have him in the best players at all. very unlucky as he looked to be the difference.

The ambos would be quite busy on a Saturday arvo, maybe they had calls with a higher priority than a broken leg..

i broke my leg similar to the mitcham blokes by the sound of it. and sat on the side of the ground watching the next 3 quarters of the game till the ambo arrived. and this was at goodwood oval! luckily my break was so bad i was in shock and couldnt feel it!

I think i recall NO-MERCY breaking his pretty badly back in the day. ambo would have been on hand at those games though wouldnt they?

Most SANFL if not all would have a doctor on the bench who could help with such injuries.

Seems to have been a fairly ugly incident at the Athelstone v Pooraka game on the weekend.
2 Pooraka players working over an Athelstone player after a clash with a team mate?
Rumour is there is some very clear video vision from a spectator that may have already been submitted to SAAFL for them to look at..
Did anyone actually see the event live that can confirm ?

Good win for us after a really disappointing loss against Kilburn.

I think we would tend to adapt betetr to Slaisbury Oval then a lot of other sides in the compeition due to the similarities in oval size to the Den.

Always enjoyed playing at/against Salisbury. A really good, professionally-run club and a good bunch of blokes. Godo to have a beer with a few of them in the club-rooms afterwards.

Having said, If anyone wants to give Pag a bit of grief, he managed to Ping a hamstring trying to catch the slowest player on our team!
Hope its a one-weeker mate!

Any of the kilburn lads know much about what happened in the C grade on saturday? I heard there was a bit of a punch up and a kilburn player came off the bench and king hit one of the young scotch players! Saw a picture on facebook of the bloke in hospital and looks pretty nasty with a tube down his throat to help him breathe by the look of it! Has the guy been suspended by the club?

If what you have described is true, than the player in question should be suspended for the maximum 12 weeks which would then make him ineligable to play in the SAAFL again. You can't have players running off the bench, and if the result of his hit was that servere that the player winded up in hospital than throw the book at him I say!

Th Kilburn umpire probably ran from the other side of the ground to report the soctch player who'd been king hit.

hope the kids ok.

I notice on the SAAFL site there is a Kilworth from Kilburn C grade reported. If this is the incident the name seems fitting
Ok that was ordinary!

Luke Copley plays at southern flinders in northern areas. Not sure if he still lives in Adelaide.

If he watched Pooraka last saturday he may have been put off playing for them. They were very ordinary and will need more then 1 player to turn them around. There going to Div 4 very quickly and if there not careful they could be in Div 5. Very sad for a club that used to be a powerhouse back in the day.
