Maybe their coaches ad should have read, "looking for someone to keep the A grade in Div 5 so we can keep winning 5R and C5 premierships!"

i guess no flags are better then 2 rite? Personally i'd prefer the 2. Also don't mind having the ones in the final either. Oops nearlly forgot we also had the 18's in a gf. How did you guys go this year?

At least Hope Valley weren't concentrating on winning C5 flags. They're actually striving to get into Div 4.

We finished higher than hope valley without even concentrating on our A Grade at all? Fair effort.

Hey Jugs, take your personal agenda and **** off.

A Grade - Finals (10, 09, 08, 07)
B Grade - Premiers (10, 09, 08)
C Grade - Premiers
U18s - Grand Finallist (10, 09)

Reads OK, A Grade GF would be nice, but a lot of clubs out there in SAAFL Land will take that return any day of the week.

So just to re-iterate... Jugs **** off.

Thank you, that is all.

mr X?

tbh..B grade and C grade flags are nice for those involved..but..they dont really do much for a club and in some cases could actually cost it money and they are not prerequisite's for A grade success are they?..now an A grade flag is a different matter..dont hate just debate :)

Yep, that's impressive reading.....but guess what? Plympton and Hope Valley are BOTH in Div 5 for 2011. So until Plympton or Hope Valley change a division, they're both the same.....Div 5 clubs!

No-one is doubting that, in fact i have always spoken my mind about how the lower grade's flags are great for the individuals involved but it doesn't get your Footy Club too far, especially last year when the A Grade put in that insipid performance against WOS, my dad refused to even go and watch the B Grade because he was ****** off that the 1s weren't in it. He's died in the wool red-and-black.

I got on the wrong side of a lot of people last year whn i said that the B Grade flag meant bugger all to me. But i also said that i had respect for the people that won it, and was happy for them.

At the end of the day if you can't get your hands on an A Grade flag/A Grade GF to go up a grade, then the next best thing is to win one of the consolation prizes on offer, this year we got two of them, its nothing to be sorry for that we won them. So i don't understand the criticism that has been toward the Club.

For this Jugs character to say that the Club spent more time invested in its B&C grade is nothing but foolish. And his constant trawling on here is consistant with that of a parasite. His pernsonal agenda against the Club is annoying to say the least. Who the **** is he anyway? What would he have us do, not try and win lower grade flags coz our 1s havent managed it?

What it is doing for us, is instilling a winning culture to the young kids coming through.

Personally, I'd prefer just the one - as long as it was the A grade!!

A grade finished 7th - missed out on the finals by a game and %
B grade finished 5th - lost the elimination to the lodge
C grade finished 3rd - lost the prelim to Adel Luth
18's finished 4th - lost the 1st semi to TTG

B grade did well to make the finals, especially after all the injuries the A grade had. After all, that is what the "Reserves" are there for. C grade was for blokes in the twilight of their careers and for blokes just wanting a kick and a catch with their mates. 18's were rebuilt from nothing last year and did well to make the finals

Surely any potential coach worth his weight would already know about your B's, C's and 18's success over the years if he did his homework? Our B grade were undefeated premiers in '05 and '08, but we wouldn't use it in an ad for a new A grade coach. Those years were very disappointing from a club perspective because the A grade lost the GF both years.

Personally, I didn't think it read very well, despite all the premierships listed. Maybe an ad reading, "Div 5 club with excellent depth looking for an experienced coach to take the senior team to the next level" might have been more appropriate. That's just my opinion

I think thats how the ad read wasn't it? I didn't study it.

Look don't mistake me as someone that is boasting about our sensational record in the lower grades, all i'm doing is defending my club from a parrot that has an agenda against pfc for some reason. I'm not sure how HVFC got involved in it to be honest.

There are clubs in a better position than us, and there are clubs in a worse position than us, like any other club in the comp bar one. The only club that can brag this year is Henley, because they reached the top of the top.

We won some flags, didn't win the one we wanted, next year hopefully.

The Bs and Cs can't be blamed for the As not winning a flag.

Don't you worry about the Blues Jabber. They're a long way from Plympton and whilst they don't play in a strong a comp as your beloved Bulldogs, we show a lot more loyalty to clubmen but always strive to win the 'A' grade flag. Cos that's where a club is measured.

You and fellow Plympton posters have made your club out on this forum, to be a club happy to play finals, win lower grade flags even if it comes at the expense of those that deserve it. No wonder you're having trouble finding an 'A' grade coach.

That's not how I read it. Others might be different. The last few pages have been about PFC's quest for a new A grade coach so I just wanted to comment so I didn't feel left out! Good luck with your new coach and hope he can take you guys to the next level. We would like the other spot in the GF next year ;) i'll leave you and jugs to it...

Well peoples perception is thier reality. The fact is that the club is not at all happy to just play finals. It still baffles me how you come up with the fact that winning the lower grades has come at a cost the the A grade. You are still yet to put up a case to show me how that has occured. But generally facts have no place on internet forums.

The Blues won a flag in 09 is that correct? thier first flag for 56 years if i'm not mistaken? I hope the 2s didnt win any flags in that 56 years to keep the 1s from winning one...
