 wow, over reaction much - not like i was having a dig at your club, in fact i was trying to find positives in a tough day for you guys.. I just thought for how hard your guys were trying Saturday in both grades, some of their team "mates" really let them down - if it was me i'd be fitlhy.

Yeah we might have some knobs, every club does, but at least ours dont rip jumpers off and spit on them or chuck a tanty and abandon their side mid-game.

The ones out of their depth i was referring to were the guys who were in the B grade that should be playing C grade - have nothing but admiration and respect for guys who work their arse off like they did when they're up against it.

You mean "College Poof" as the archaic sledge still goes.. quite humerous actually, considering most the blokes playing on the weekend come from the country and varies suburban areas and schools.

In fact one bloke was called a college poof Saturday, and he played at Ingle Farm last year with me, went to school at Craigmore or something, and works as a warehouse worker - think it was the greatest compliment he'd ever received

Over reaction? I just returned serve in regards to knobs, every clubs has them.
I didn't see much of the second half of Bs but was surprised they didn't get beaten by more the way it started.
Did something happen in the Bs in regard to the tantys? I know one lad spat it in the As but know little about the Bs.

PS. I forgot to mention the Bedge burger I got from the BBQ wasn't bad at all. $3 for a bottle of water is a bit steep but that was evened out by the burger only being $5

Well I was trying to be a bit PC in these modern times....but yes I was once in a similar position, water off a duck's back.

That credit goes to the Rosie lads whose second half i thought was remarkably good - a lot more pressure and endevour around the contest, crashed in a lot more. Set up by Shaw in the ruck who was huge, Murray on the wing and Pettersson down back. Dont recall them having a bench after 3/4 time so that hurt, just lacked an option up forward to capitilise on their entries.

Ladder after Rd 2
4 - Kenilworth
4 - Pulteney
4 - Hope Valley
2 - Lockleys
2 - Eastern Park
---------------------------

2 - Smithfield
2 - Blackfriars OS
0 - Salisbury
0 - Trinity OS
0 - Rosewater

As we enter the Easter break, i'm not sure we yet have a clear indication on how this division will play out. It appears early the two promoted sides in Trinity and Rosewater will struggle a little bit, however one could argue they've played the sides that are expected to be contesting end of year, so will need to wait a couple more to really make a call.

Lockleys are the big winners heading into the break, administrative errors from the Panthers gifting them a win and 100 percentage points in Rd 1 allows them to sit pretty in 4th place with a significant percentage break over Eastern Park, otherwise they'd find themselves winless and sitting in around 8th position on the ladder.

Smithfield on the other hand would be undefeated and probably percentage behind Hope Valley. Shouldn't bother the Panthers too much, they'll gather more speed and momentum during the year - word is this is the best side/squad the club has had since the turn of the century, and far superior to the outfit that played in the D5 GF only a few years ago.

Kenilworth appear to be the certain front runners at this early stage, but they will be challenged over the next month as the top sides finally square off against each other, this will create opportunity for the likes of Eastern Park, Smithfield, Blackfriars and Salisbury to make their move on the top 5.

Good to see O'Riley pick up his first win on the weekend as coach for the Hounds, but let's be serious, if he wants to be competitive this year, he can't keep having Scaffidi-Muta strutting around in the magoos.

Eastern Park 1 and 1 proving to be more than capable and better than a lot of pre-season predictions. Will be hard for travelling sides to pick up wins out there, which alone should give the Dees are real crack at the 5.

This is certainly shaping up to be a tough division this year.
