No points issues for us this year. 1-0 looks much better than our 0-5 start

I must've been seeing things.. could've sworn I saw a 3 point win to Kilburn. Sounds like a ripper game either way

Congratulations to FP on their win.

A disgraceful red card and report handed out to a Gepps Cross player for a perfect hip & shoulder shepherd of a team mate. All done within the rules, the guy got up and laughed when he saw the red card come out of the holster. No injuries but a lad sent off for what has been happening in our game for 100+ years.
What are some umpires trying to do to our game? Whatever it might be, they are killing it!

Was a pretty good game at Walkerville. We were up by a point at three quarter time. The pressure by both sides was as high as I've seen in any game of amateur league footy and as a result the skills from both sides were lowered.

The umpires got involved a little bit too much and gave several 25m and down the field frees which on the small oval resulted in shots on goal.

Walkerville got on top in the clearances towards the end of the game and the constant attacking got the better of us in the end.

Difference was their two forwards(me and Vinny needed to do better next time) and their clearance work later in the game. They probably ran out the 4 quarters better too. Their full back is a gun.

If Walkerville are the benchmark it will be a tight season. I would suggest no easy games this year. Very disappointed our winning streak is over, but we gained confidence from the game that we can match it with the best even when we're not playing our best and after a pretty average preseason. Bit of work for us to do.

B grade situation is embarrassing and we need to fix it. Lost a lot of our better b graders to play As in lower divs and some to other commitments.

Didn't cost us the game as we played a lot better after it but it would have to go down as one of the worst decisions I've ever seen. Wasn't even a free kick. Perfect shepherd.

Not stirring the Pot here Shrek but it didn't look good a as result in the B grade when you don't score and did I see right your C grade forfeited as well? Are there any depth issues there at Kilburn, not enough players? Just asking.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.

Problems with numbers. We lost a few to Mawson Lakes and some stopped playing. Don't have any numbers on the track. If the 25-30 guys that have played so far committed and trained, I'm sure we'd be ok. Unfortunately they haven't. Combine that with playing two of the better reserves sides going around and the confidence drops off.

Neither do over zealous umpires who love to be noticed by handing out coloured cards and unwarranted penalties.
It's time Gorey gave it away, all he's doing is propping up his pension. His display was atrocious and dare I say, bordering on biased!!

ED53, i suggest the club put more effort into their 3rd quarter , which on sat was non existent, than worrying about 1 umpiring decision. that said it was a VERY,VERY ordinary one

more to the above . was puzzled by having Hudson sitting way up forward in the 3rd when the ball wasn't getting past the 1/2 frd line. waste of your best player for a 1/4

was not a game to inspire the supporters of both clubs

the Chic's B's were very very ordinary when we played them in a trial a few weeks back and that result does not suprise me

The big fella would of loved the huge open forward line for him to do plenty of work in at thebby. Good on him for kicking 5 on his first game in 1s

APOLOGY

My unreserved apology goes to the Flinders Park coach and boys for my post on Saturday evening.
I wasn't aware of any information given to our Chairman of their inability to come in post game for various reason so I hope this clears that up.

Im pleased to hear hes back on the footy track and kicking goals too, stokesy could have been anything if it wasnt for the dreaded injury curse, watch out when he gets himself anywhere near fit will win games off his own boot, wilks is a good footballer but a lazy one likes barking orders around but doesnt listen himself  has cochi put on any beef at all
