AF- have any of those players signed at Seaton that you steered their way?
I know Hodges was talking to Degabrielle, Hatsy & Motlop prior to his sickness & noticed they've all signed on the dotted line since.
What other signings have they had?

AF- not fishing at all, just relaying what I have heard. Surely you do not just expect the coach to recruit!! I actually feel sorry for Tank who seems to be in for a long year. Looking at their list of outs recruiting doesnt seem to have been a huge success. Who is his assistant??
I just hope that Tank is not used up by the club and spat out next year for someone of higher profile and big name recruits??

Mercy - Wont steal the thunder of the Coach and announce anything on this forum that I may know. Think that should either come from Tank or a Club Official, such as Big Al or Mick Elliott. So will stick my nose out of it.

Down and Out - You were fishing and come up with nothing. Trying to be mischevious, would be a better term perhaps. Think you may have heard wrong as a few guys I know have been trying to help Tank. As I said, whilst I am not helping this reason (other than for reasons that will become knowledge shortly), most of those guys have still been available to help Tank when possible and if he requests their services.

As I said - would not have been a week go since his appointment, when we have not chatted or given names for him to chase. You probably dont have to be a a NASA scientist, to see that Seaton probably are not the Flag Favourites, but am sure they will get their share of wins and perhaps a few shocks throughout the year. The moronic fools who suggest that they wont win a game are only "hoping".

As for who may be coaching in 2009, that would be seen in a "Crystall Ball", in a far away planet I would have thought. Could not imagine that Big Al, Tank or any of the executives have even explored that option. To suggest that they would cast aside an incumbent Coach just to employ a "High Profile Coach" is speculation only - and again more subtle fishing than your earlier attempts

Any of us to have coached any reasonable level sport know one thing - Coaching at one Club is never for life. Something always happens and the two parties either fall apart in their thinking, or someone else comes along. Has been the same pattern at every club of whatever sporting pursuit you look at, since the dawn of time. Bit like a marriage or relationship, all starts off well, but nearly always ends with a non pleasant ending. Simple really. You obviously have never coached or have had your head stuck in the sand for a long time. Would probably explain the lack of blood flow at times to your cranium, with certain questions you pose, dream or are being mischeivious about. Some people might even think that with your last name being Cranium, it should be preceeded by Richard.

Do you want us to introduce a word count instead of a post count AF?

Not my fault you cant keep up sport. When getting the point across, sometimes you have to spell it out exactly, as most of your posters will try to make something up if not. Best to take a little longer and be precise, rather than let people make their own little stories up. Avoids confusion with these people who are here only to cause mischief as well

Again AF you miss the point- who is his assistant?? and surely there needs to be some more structure than here are names YOU (the coach) go and chase them- even I could give him names!!
You need to get over your importance and what you think I may be doing! I feel sorry for Tank and can just see him being used up in the short term- not the way to treat someone who is well liked and respected in the club, who has done a lot of hard work for the club!!

I can't see how you think he's being used up.
The coach Down&Out puts in place his coaching staff, he has Steve Karpluk as an assistant apparently.
They then must look at what the club needs & work as a team in recruiting the positions they lack or to improve on the depth they currently have.
I have no doubt Big Al will be working his ass off in helping to gain new players yet theirs only so much he can do, he's ridiculed left right & centre from plenty down there because he does too much.
Tank cannot expect to take up the no1 position & sit back & expect others to do his work.
The problem with him, he hasn't got the powers & hasn't earnt the respect yet as a coach to recruit big name players.
He helped Seatons B grade out by bringing 10 B grade players to the club, thats all he can recruit unfortunately. The club should of realised that before rushing into such an important decision.
The club respects Tank & what he's done at the club, he has earn't respect from alot of the B graders, The A grade ( A1 ) Down&Out is completely different as he is discovering this year.
Was he really prepared for it???

Most of your posters AF? WTF is that supposed to mean. Posters are on here because they want to be on here, and want to have an input. Just because their opinion doesn't agree with yours doesn't mean you have to try and degrade them.

It would appear you don't consider yourself one of the SAFooty community, so in that case why do you go to so much trouble to get on here.

No Mercy 1- I think he will be used in the fact that not much will happen at Seaton this year, Seaton will go down and then Tank may make way for someone in 2008.
2- I don't think he was ready nor did he realise how bad things were, especially in regards to the players leaving- Maybe a reason why he needs extra help??
