I know the umpires in C Grade are mainly "Club" umpires.

do they have the power to red card and send players off.

I watched a C Grade game today and saw 2 incidents (both in the play) that if they had been in Div 1 or 2 they would have been red carded and for one a substantial suspension. Apart from a free kick being given in both cases nothing else was done

Pretty good last minute in that game hey

The HV C grade making headlines on social media after Darren Mitchell kicked 32 goals today and winning by a ridiculous margin. Your team is stacked haha @valleys07 @SDemonImage

Doesn't deserve best kicked 32.11!! Smithfield only had 15 players on the ground in the last quarter that I watched.

That’s the biggest score without time on I’ve ever seen.

Daz unlucky, but we rate inside 50's to advantage and goal assists ;)

Absolute credit to the Smithfield boys. Despite the obvious gap in talent, they worked hard until the final siren, and were classy in defeat.

We are not only blessed to have Daz play in the C's, but as part of the HVFC. His forward craft is elite, and his work developing our young A Grade forwards proves the club is bigger than the individual. He will be rightfully proud of his performance today, but is really pushing us toward what he and we all want as a team- back to back flags.

At least 43 effective disposals by foot. Probably had it at least 50 times. Tough gig.

Playing against 15, what a star this bloke is. Surely after 20 you could go off and let someone else kick a goal or 2.

I thought the same given the next bloke only kicked 3.
Obviously a team player, NOT!

Congrats to Dazz, genuinely good guy and regardless of circumstances an absolutely incredible feat!

We should be celebrating what he achieved not trying to take shots.. but hey that’s the world these days isn’t it - everyone always finds negatives in shit.

I’m glad he kicked 32... don’t feel so bad about him kicking 18.16 last year now against Ingle Farm.

Is that the same Darren Mitchell that played at Broadies some years back, if so he could seriously play and was a huge loss when he left

32 in a game is obscene, outrageous, amazing.

Give him all the superlatives

If he is as talented as he obviously is, why is he playing C Grade? Surely he is more than capable of playing a higher grade???

Dazz is in his mid 30’s and actually retired after winning A Grade premiership at Bridgewater a couple of years ago. His body(knee) was shot so decided to retire after winning a flag. Decided to play with his brother and some mates in the C Grade at HV. Good lad and he would be loving all the hype. He said he had 4 blokes on him in last qtr.

If he had 4 blokes on him and Smithfield only had 15 on the field there were 6 loose HV players. And they couldn't kick goals.
