God i must come across as some arrogant pig.

Preseason this year; i spoke about who we had picked up. The Scudds boys and Pendleton from QLD (which came out of the blue). We got Sam Thomas back from centrals, a club junior. He was injured most of the year. Hardly "big name" players. That's 5 guys. I would have thought that to be a pretty standard influx for most clubs.

We don't throw the sort of cash around like some clubs. Recruiting is an area our club needs to improve. I don't think we have ever landed a 'big name' recruit.

I think everyone get's a little bit excited in February and March. No real footy for 6months, trial games around the corner, jumping out of your skin to play and the year ahead is full of optimism. I'm sorry (i think) for being like everyone else.

This is a whole forum dedicated to the SAAFL. If we didn't actually talk about the coming's and going's, the new coaches, preseason predictions....should we just put a blanket lock on the site until round 1?

Nothing to apologise for mate - every club thinks exactly the same, otherwise why play!

As predicted Salisbury North were the weak link in the D1 finals. Their record now since joining the SAAFL in 1996 is now 8-13 for their A Grade and no premierships. Their last A grade premiership was in 1989 in the CDFA
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS
RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.

Let that be a lesson to you Sturt. You don't beat Glenelg 3 times in a row in Grand Finals and get away with it.
