Then I would agree with you - they lost a lot of players after the A3 premiership

Different team now - probably only 4-5 players still in A grade

some of the softeset sides i have played against were district sides because they could go the snipe but would react badly when tackled, shephered or bumped fairly but harshly. its harder to be disciplined when things are missed or just ignored and teams that resort to thuggery i'd classify as mentally soft.

Well boys I think the poll speaks for itself. 76% of people think that college teams are soft, while 23% of people also think that college teams are soft.

Where did the last 1% go? There must be someone out there who agrees with you Zed!

Have to agree with you there finn, from my experience the younger the team, the softer the team. College teams do usually field younger sides but I have come up against teams with reputations of being hard but because they are a young side they turned out to be very scared around the bigger bodies.

Mind you - makes me wonder what your B grade are like. We seem to continually get over the line, especially in finals whilst you always seem to trip. I remember back to a very wet final at Kilburn - you had it in the bag and lost the unlosable game in the last quarter to the soft boys. Then out in 2 games by a point this year. Maybe a bit of soul searching is warranted down there in the B grade...... "Portland Grammar School" maybe.......

haha, thing simply didnt go our way this season. we lost 4 i think by under a goal including both finals by 1pt.
In contrast though, we won probs 4-5 games the year before by under a kick.

Fisty, sound like when the going got tough, the tough got going somewhere else.

Portland Oval is near a Christian School isn't it? Maybe you need to move your oval closer to the cement works and harden the **** up!

You've got great maths skills Fisty. Try one div in 5 years.

Don't have a cry, just amalgamate again.

Maybe we should have a forum "Which district side talks it up to disguise the fact that, actually, they are pretty soft?"
