Yon only have to look at the "a" grade team sheet to see Lee Duggan missed the last 4 games so a player has to go up to cover for him. That's the idea of putting a permit in, if all cases went by rules stated then there is no need to put in any permits in. All permits should be canned because if you follow the letter of the law, nobody permit should be approved. It just not a good look for the league to have somebody approving / not approving permits who has vested interest, not saying that would sway them but just should not be done.

You make it seem like there is 1 individual who makes the decisions. If as your suggesting Shaun Ryan didnt allow the permits based on a self interest why didnt the other members on the permit committee simply over rule him? What about the AL players who were approved? If we are to progress to a final we will have to play them also so why wouldnt he have pulled those magic strings the same way?

Im just looking forward to playing tomorrow, last week was a good game and i just hope we can get the result to turn the other way by 9 points or more.

Noone is suggesting Shaun did anything untoward, just looked like a conflict of interest from an outsiders view. We put in for permits, didnt get them, we move on.

Should be another good game at the Lodge today. Go you Magoos!!

Good luck D5 teams..
Both should be cracker games.
Can't split rosies v plympton... I'll go Plympton just with VanderH to kick a bag.
BL best team I think and should account for Liz out there.

HV and a good Lutho outfit in the magoos to get up.

But if your A grade finished top and has the week off then anyone from your A grade can go down and play B's, makes sense. Know 1 club that has picked possibly their A grade B&F in the B's because he will be overseas and possibly won't play till GF.

He was/still is (?) on the Magpies reserves list and has played U/19s there. He was asked to go out and train with them and possibly play a game earlier in the year, but doesn't want anything to do with them anymore. He also played Eagles juniors before switching to Port.

Too good a footballer imo to be playing D5.....Bit like duggy for us really.....but not going to complain if they play for your club!

Yeah agreed Valleys, he's too good for div 5. He really should be playing for the Magpies. He did play all his juniors at Seaton where he won a Metro West Association medal in the U/16s back in 2006. He made a few mistakes on and off the field and fell out of favour at the Magpies and at Seaton and ended up with us. We're so lucky we have him that's for sure.
