Are you guys going to blow the siren 2 mins early if its a close game again?

Only if we're in front :D I dont know what you're going on about but sounds like sour grapes to me.

No sour grapes on my side. but cheating on your side. Plympton beware, make sure u have some1 next to their time keeper
Both sides in any game should have a timekeeper anyways so excuses there.

i heard that brahma havnt applied for a home final yet however it seems like they will at least try to have one. i have always thought if the away changerooms arent up to scratch then the home team should have to use them.

on yesterdays game, its the best we have played for a long time. 4 good quarters with some good passages of play. first time heccies have been minor premiers for a long time. looking fwd to the week off and hopefully BL and elizabeth will kill each other  thank you to hope valley as well :D

As for us today it was a touch of Deja Vu as the game and our performance was very much the same as when we played Rosewater. We were in front at quarter time, down by goal at 3 quarter time and ended being run over the top of and losing by 52 points, as Smithfield finished strongly with a very handy breeze.

It was a disappointing way to finish off the year as we were all over Smithfield in the first half. We were playing some good footy, while they were trying to take blokes heads off, but after half time it all changed. We switched off and they started to play footy, so credit to them for turning it around like they did. There was plenty of heat in the game all day but when the siren went, we all shook hands and everyone was cool about it.

A huge win by the B grade means their into the finals with a bit of a bang, it's probably broken some records aswell. Smithfield even though they lost, it was good to see them come out and play the last game. My hat goes off to the 12 or so blokes (and LM for that matter) that came out to represent their club.

And just a quick 1, Michael Taylor, wow he is something special. He's got some serious talent and is going to be a great player in the years to come. For a little bloke he is so strong through the core and upper body and his skills and footy smarts are excellent. Smithfield should work their arses off to keep him but IMO he should be looking at paying some higher grade footy- perhaps he should think about going out to Centrals, cause he is good enough for sure.

Good luck next week to all the clubs in Div 5 involved in the finals and bad luck to all those that didn't make it. We'll hopefully see you guys in season 2012.

and seeing as ur on ur way 2 div 6 i'll give u a backhand and say mate if ur talking bout 1 of our blokes whacking 1 of urs 4 spitting on him i think he deserved it!! see ya boys

:? Didn't know anything about that mate, sorry about that. Guess he did deserve it then.....

Yeah I'd be very surprised if brahma got a home final. They took one off eastern park during payneys time there because of changeroom and umpire rooms so I can't see them allowing brahmas atco huts. Will be interesting to see the result. It's always a shame for a team that earns a home final not to get one.

great character and courage shown by our guys yesterday in both games.
when you're dead and buried in rd 18 some will think you'll just lie down, but not the lads representing our club.
couple of ordinary acts yesterday late in the a's which go supposedly unsighted by the umps. remarkable really given that 30+ people in front of the club rooms saw at least one of them. nothing new there, it happened two weeks ago as well and supposedly wasn't seen then either. one lucky bloke in particular will play next week, well done and very courageous coming from the blind side.
nonetheless, so proud of my lads this year and over the last 5 years.
over and out for 2010.

99% sure lodge will get a home final... 2 years ago we played golden grove, they had quite possibly the worst facilities ive ever seen... they got one... league doesn't care for facilities, its all about the $$$$$

our bloke grabbed your bloke by the front of the jumper and shook him a couple of times over something i didnt see the cause of. one of your blokes runs in and commits the act i'm referring to. no need for it and he had nothing to do with the initial scuffle.

where were you booze? did you see it from close or from a distance? i was the timekeeper and i saw the whole lot as it was between the wing and h/fwd at northern end and there was an ump within a few meters in my line of sight.

no glass houses here mate, i'm just calling what i saw and it's disappointing because it drags a game down that was played in great spirit until then. if you had a different view then maybe describe what you saw.

be honest, the free kick was plucked out of thin air mate becuase they watched the rest of crap that took place after it just happen without intervening and then once it settled just blew the whistle and gave the ball to you blokes.

Heccies far to good for the dogs on sat and in my opinion are the team to beat for the flag. As for plympton well the inconsitent year continues its hard to know what team will turn up from week to week I think our very best is up there with the top teams problem is we rarely are at our best. Tough game now at rosewater a place we havent won for many a year hopefully we actually rock up to play(right attitude) should be some players back from injuries which also may help.

Do they play finals on ovals with sand covered cricket pitches ??
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

After playing at Hope Valleys oval on the weekend with a turf pitch I would much rather play on an oval with a sand covered cricket pitch.

Agree! i dont think i have ever seen an oval in worse condition than that! to kick 14goals on that was a great effort...
