Lots of talk for Flinders and their new recruits but, i have nt read anywhere yet who has gone to them or seperated from them. Ill look at the SAAFL website to be corrected. Besides if Thurstans is to suit up for them i wouldnt worry too much. Never rated him when he played for the power.

Its my understanding that Flinders Park and Broadview were given an additional 2 points as they had done considerable recruiting before the APPS was initiated into the SAAFL. They were asking for alot more and 2 points is peanuts compared what they requested if what i am hearing is correct

cheers FS my club is not near the points limit so it does not effect us. would be good playing on a even playing field. guess it gives the other clubs in div 3 more amo to beat flinders. Reds08 did you lose fringe A graders from your club with all the recruits. also is it true that Breet Ohara is the actuall A grade coach while jacko is the club coach??

Were the same Schimma, it seems the clubs are posing stupid scenarios and trying to cause a stir re the APPS are either:
1. Anti SAAFL hierarchy
2. full of mercenaries
3. have lost a heap of players for some reason (this is where the additional points should be granted and no other cases eg FP & BFC)

not shooting the messenger here FS. but what the F**K does that have to do with anything?? both clubs (especially broadies) are traditionally strong clubs and shouldnt be given ANY sort of helping hand imo. couldnt every club go in and say : so and so committed to us (the club) for next year in 2010, under the assumption he was 0points??

Yeah think a couple of young blokes have moved on, but like you said only Fringe players. There was word of one or two of their better players moving clubs through the off season, but they have signed on again.

as for the coaching, O'Hara and Christie are playing assistants. Jackson is still the coach as far as i know. I think the two new lads have been taking a drill or two, but thats as far as their control goes at the moment.

before the APPS was initiated into the SAAFL
Christie and O'Hara definately signed after that (thats 7 there)
So that would not be the reason they were given an extra 2
Would like to know why certain clubs are given that little extra hand by the SAAFL
Isn't that typical of them though

The extra points given to these clubs is an absolute disgrace and just because clubs have signed players a few weeks before it was approved they knew it was coming in and shouldnt be allowed any concessions. The fact that a club has lost players and is seeking more points because of an exodus of players is criminal why dont they bring up some of their under 18s to play or better B grade players instead of being allowed more points to import players. GET IT RIGHT SAAFL

Disappointing fropm the SAAFL if true. I wouldn't have thoguht 'we recruited early' was extenuating circumstances for more points. Especially when the othere teams are playing by the rules.

Can someone refresh my memory on the points classifications?

Except if they have not played for 2 years they also become zero.

Another hole is if they play 25 games at your club then go to another club and come back according to the paer work they become zero.

It only goes on the previous year 0 points.

It's a strange one though if he didn't play the 1 game in 2010 he would be whatever points were applicable for his grade from 2009.

i like strange ones..looks like a minor loophole to me..perhaps the history of a player needs to be over the past 3 years to gauge wether A grade or B grade?
