Interesting.....Either you are playing under another name, or you are talking about AFL Live on the playstation.

Either way, the team has shown you are surplus to it's needs after the win at Heccies.

Masha did you check the C grade team sheet?

Hmm, Some interesting results today have shaped the first week of finals in both the A and B grade. Well done to all those who have made it.

As for us today it was a touch of Deja Vu as the game and our performance was very much the same as when we played Rosewater. We were in front at quarter time, down by goal at 3 quarter time and ended being run over the top of and losing by 52 points, as Smithfield finished strongly with a very handy breeze.

It was a disappointing way to finish off the year as we were all over Smithfield in the first half. We were playing some good footy, while they were trying to take blokes heads off, but after half time it all changed. We switched off and they started to play footy, so credit to them for turning it around like they did. There was plenty of heat in the game all day but when the siren went, we all shook hands and everyone was cool about it.

A huge win by the B grade means their into the finals with a bit of a bang, it's probably broken some records aswell. Smithfield even though they lost, it was good to see them come out and play the last game. My hat goes off to the 12 or so blokes (and LM for that matter) that came out to represent their club.

And just a quick 1, Michael Taylor, wow he is something special. He's got some serious talent and is going to be a great player in the years to come. For a little bloke he is so strong through the core and upper body and his skills and footy smarts are excellent. Smithfield should work their arses off to keep him but IMO he should be looking at paying some higher grade footy- perhaps he should think about going out to Centrals, cause he is good enough for sure.

Good luck next week to all the clubs in Div 5 involved in the finals and bad luck to all those that didn't make it. We'll hopefully see you guys in season 2012.

AL lead Rosies by 6 goals at 3/4 time and they got up on the breeze in the last.
Disappointing end for us, sums up our season really.
Zobes is going again next year, shouldn't lose too many and got our eye on some very handy inclusions... hopefully finals action for AL in 2011. we have certainly matched it with all teams this year. But not for four quarters.
FWIW - Brahma to win flag IMO

And well done to our B grade shifting into top spot with a huge percentage one of the highest iv seen from a side that has lost 3 games. Theyve got a bloody good side and with McEvoy back from injury, have to be raging favourites for the B grade Flag

Now heres a question. Will the league allow Brahma Lodge to purchase their home final this week if their visitors change rooms are not up to standard? Or have the temporary ones improved (seating, hot water) and ok for finals use?

As we have said the hot water was in the process of being fixed on our last home game and isnt an issue now as far as we know.

If the league wasnt happy with the standard of rooms supplied we would give the away team our home change rooms and we would use the temporary ones to get ready. We got changed in Atco huts for a couple of seasons up at Golden Grove so i cant see it being an issue.
