Hay LM, just a couple of things about tomorrows clash.
Joss wasn't named in your A grade side, why isn't he playing? Is he injured or having a rest?
And your B grade was named with only 16 players, not good. Our B's have to smash the living suitcase out of you guys and wait on other results to be able to make the finals, it's unlikely but it could still happen.

DK
your B Grade will play the elimination Final against Brahma Lodge I would think as it is likely that Heccies will get beat by Plympton and Hope Valley by The Lodge
even a modest win by your B's will see you get through as the others percentage is average
of course this goes out the window if one of them win

i've done 4 games in the second half of this season and the worst was against a bunch of blokes flogging our lads but a handful of players still questioned every decision i made. there was one bloke who just should not be out there and if i had my time again and had a good view of a couple of incidents it would have been interesting. made me wonder why i was out there giving him a chance to play footy by umpiring the game.
no wonder our b grade ump chucked it in after being abused constantly in another of our home games. it was appalling that day as well.
You'd reckon the bloke doing the abuse from the sidelines would be less inclined to abuse being a former umpire himself but no. It monotonous and boring - very rarely is there any humour in abusing umpires.
The Smithfield supporters weren't shy in giving the umps a spray after the As on Saturday! Left nothing to the imagination about how they felt about them.
I was right there mate, there was only one bloke that was giving them a spray and he got banned from the club for 6 months immediately, most others kept their comments between themselves. One umpire in particular was absolutely shocking and even I had trouble containing my anguish. After speaking to our coach in regards to the umpiring, he said that there was plenty of poor decisions out there being made both ways, I could only pass judgement on what I had seen and heard within my vicinity.
The mouthy bloke isn't much of a regular anyway, I think he was trying to bignote himself and thought it was a way of acceptance, I've been going there for 30 years and have only seen him a couple of times on a Friday night, I don't know his name and don't really care to. I guess I wont be seeing him for the next 6 months anyway.
Having the pub across the road we tend to attract the odd pisshead as our beer is cheaper in the bar than theirs, we try and weed out any trouble-makers but sometimes they come out from left-field, I sure as hell didn't see it coming, he got ushered away pretty quickly anyway but his comments were unnecessay.
I saw the last quarter only and thought the umps were OK. Cant talk about the first 3. IMHO, there were a couple of after disposal incidents that were picked up and penalised SFC. They only had themselves to blame as they were right in it with 10 to go.

I'm sure the B's will have enough mate, Joss is carrying a bit of a niggle, probably wont suit up. Good luck tomorrow mate.

I saw his facebook last night and he reckons he's playing, so assuming he got off..

Aloisi definitely played it up for the umpires benefit. A clothes line from Howie ain't gonna hurt a fly- have you seen that guys arms?? It was a free kick, maybe a yellow card for negligent contact, but wasn't worth games. Was just one of those instinctive reactions to make contact, just a pity it was high.
