good fight in the a grade but after half time we ran the hounds out, didnt help the hounds with howie getting red carded for the game in the second quarter with a high smack in the head, should be missing a few weeks. wotton was great early untill hayes tagged him out of the game. brahma just top on percentage with valleys next week and heccies playing plympton be a tight finish
Had any drinks tonight mate? ;)

I just left the club and unknown was just leaving also....if he gets on here any time within the next two days i would be concerned about what might come out of his mind....he might have had a couple of WKD's

Interesting A grade umpiring..Hey Boozehound..you reckon you saw some interesting stuff last week !!! Classic Father and Son umpiring combination

Outstanding umpiring by Hollywood Hogan in the B grade

Fantastic wins by plympton in all grades. The A grade on top from the first bounce easily the best they have played all year, vanders on fire up forward with 10(8 in the first half) this guy near unstoppable on his day. Have to say watching GEPP from Hv was interesting he seemed to pretty much play where he wanted on the field, to me looked uninterested then on final siren just walked straight to changerooms by himself without shaking hands with anyone. A win against Heccies and we finish 3rd, we pushed them first time we played them so I know the boys are keen to for another crack at them.

Certainly did... Miegel for us and Hillman them were a class above, otherwise ordinary standard.
Nice to belt out the song in last home game for 2010. Bad luck to Hounds lead all day... all the best in Div 6 in 2011, I'm sure you'll be very competitive

fido just to put you straight on geppy, unless you were in the coaches box how would you know what his role was. he had to pick up his son from tennis straight after footy(and was running very late) and wasnt going to play due to this fact but with all the unavailabilities put up his hand.yes he should have shook hands with his opponent(if he didnt). whilst we are on the game yes vanders was very good but lack of pressure from our guys on the ball carrier made the delivery to him better.thought the young lad did a terriffic job on him in the second half.
two things that did disappoint me tho was the cheap shot on our defender(punching him in the guts when he wasnt looking) by ranneberg before the game started, then didnt have the courage to put his body over the ball just after that incident. secondly the way some of your players carried on when the game was out of our reach to win left a lot to be desired, which i doubt steve would condone. anyway overall the hospitality was good and yes we were beaten by 3 very good plympton teams i

Great last round coming up. Assuming Lodge beat the Valleys, Heccies get up over Plympton, Rosies beat Lutheran and Elizabeth account for Blacks, the top 5 will be

Lodge
Heccies
Elizabeth
Rosies
Plympton

Smithfield to be hoping that Lutheran beat Rosies and they can get in with a win over North Haven.

For the B grade, top 4 spots are set, with the 5th spot up for grabs. Ladder should look like:

Plympton
Elizabeth
Lutheran
Lodge

5th spot comes down to HV vs Lodge and North Haven vs Smithfield. Wouldnt think Plympton will lose to Heccies. If the Lodge beat HV, North Haven need to make up 0.9% to get into 5th. I think North Haven will get in, making the finals for both grades:

A grade Qual: Heccies vs Elizabeth
A grade Elim: Rosies vs Plympton

B grade Qual: Elizabeth vs Lutheran
B grade Elim: Lodge vs North Haven

Does the A grade elim and B grade elim get played at the same venue? Same question goes for the qual matches?

Fair enough regarding gepp. As for raneburg incident didnt see it. I assume the carry on your talking about was vanders dive after kicking his 10th to be honest it didnt look great but im sure no disrespect was meant it was more the young lad showing off to his mates.

no wasnt talking about vanders (tho thought it was silly,if he dislocated his collarbone or something plymptons chances would have dramatically reduced.) no was more talking the mouthing off to our players etc etc. and one of fc favourite players was right in the thick of it. sort of makes you want to barrack for the opposition a bit come finals time now if you know what i mean ;) all over now and lets move on to next week

I think you will find that if your a grade finish in a position to host a final that the league allows your b grade to play at home also regardless if they are the highest finishing b grade side in that game or whether or not it is the same final eg elim or qualifying final. In the example Masha has used it would not matter but the following week this could come into play.

enjoyed the hospitality at AL yesterday. great group of people at that club.
A grade umpiring once again pretty well buggered the game. far too much unnecessary influence on the game.

was at Plymton HV game on the weekend and thought that #19 (not sure of his name) for plympton really set them up and gave them good structure and direction! must have had 40 touches for the day too. Vanders was awsome when it counted!

i'm sure plympton would like to finish 3rd for the double chance so they will come out with all guns blazing this week.
