keep talking about barossa buying a premiership
Freeling ...coach 0n $22500 plus bonus
Fowden, Roberts, B Leal, Frewen, Lamond, Newberry, Parish,
Riddle, Steinert, Farley. etc etc....of course all playing for nothing
At least Barossa can win them

What club are you from 151, maybe some of the yoyo clubs and your club could play a trial game. I know we couldnt compete with the money thrown around in the barossa but districts or seaton would give you a go

PHOSsies unlucky not to get up over Seaton on the weekend. Was a pretty good game though!! PHOS look to have bounced back after the last couple of weeks (even though the loss).

Seaton playing in patches, but it looks like a Grand Final between Districts and Seaton will be decided by a fight out between District's strong forward line vs Seaton's strong rebounding backline!

All country clubs pay players , some more then others but the amount of coin Barossa was throwing around to lure players and buy themselves a premiership was alot more then the average club and when the money runs out back down the ladder they will go . When you buy success it looks great in the trophy cabinet but it doesnt build culture or respect and Barossa will suffer in the long run for it .

I agree with Hafey in that the long term success of a club is built on the quality and character of it's players, the fly by night success that the Barossa's & Freeling's of this world are experiencing comes with a huge price tag and no respect from the local football community.

Phos were good against Seaton but they did kick straight, Seaton did play in patches but good teams find a way to win. Phos have a good team and it is hard to see them not play finals with the likes of Baynes, Sandford, Taylor. What happened to SHOC only narrowly beating the Cats????

151 is in the know, and which players are you talking about? Does the same go for Seaton? The same go for Lucindale? the same go for Henley? I know for a fact that Freeling are paying huge dollars, they can afford it though, where would a club like Districts get the coin to do so? I know Seaton get about $2500 a game when the crows play home and they have a $draw where they make about $10000, which goes along way to paying their players. Wanders, James, Wilkinson, Place, Coard, kelly, kerley, Burton, Marshall, just to name a few of the higher price players.....

Kilburn story interesting especially coming from Phil Martin- O'connor will only be back at Kilburn if Phil Martin is no longer there- that has kept him away for years!!

You sound like you are well clued up down at Seaton land. What about the general running of a club, Im sure who ever is runningt ram land would not waste all the intake on paying players

Have seen alot of div 2 footy this year and for mine Modbury and districts to play in the big one, with modbury to be ahead at the final siren. Ramblers not a bad side but a little up and down with their form. Perhaps Scotch as a smokey to upset the top 3 sides.

Nope, no one by that name running around... not in the A's or magoos anyway. I'll check the C grade sheet..
Don't play games with a girl who can play 'em better...

A empty cheque book and if there lucky a few wins in A3.

Kilburn need players, not a coach that has a bought premiership next to his name and if they are serious about matching it in A1/A2 they need to get themselves the best playing / coach there is and build a side around him . GAZA did it effectively with Jarman before they went too far back .
