cossi11 wrote:Ok a slight exaggeration of it being a whole team but an unreal run with season ending injuries..
B.Gatto - season (didn't play)
Fuller - season (played 1 game)
Cosenza - season (played 3 games)
Cornish - season (played 7 games)
Porter - season (played 6 games)
S.Gatto - work commitments (played 6 games)
Frith - hopefully back this week (played 7 games)
May - back playing (played 3 games)
Tankard - currently out (ankle)
Marks - currently out, hoping he can get back (dislocated shoulder) - this is the biggest loss of them all!
Stints on the sidelines for Hayes, McMillan, Addison and Palmer to add to it all, digging real deep out at the Units.

I can't believe you missed the biggest loss to injury

Focus on trying to get a kick in 2019 first.
Focus is on 2020 now mate, just had an ACL recon last week so 12 months out minimum.. Did it verse Mitchell Park the first time around, was originally told by my GP that there was no ligament damage so didn't need an MRI, saw a physio after and was told i had sprained my knee, after 4 visits with no sign of improvement i decided it was time to go to the Sportsmed, first visit told me i'd ruptured my ACLgot an MRI same day and confirmed by sportsmed 2 days later and booked in for surgery.
Lesson, never go to your local GP for a sports injury, see the sportsmed guys. So frustrating to find out 8 weeks after the injury, could be 2 months into my recovery already.

The Bedge wrote:Well Round 14 is over, and the top 4 finalists are now locked in.
St Pauls will take out the minor premiership, currently holding a 9pt buffer over Houghton with 3 games remaining. The Raiders however are well placed for a double chance, now two games clear of 3rd position.
Lutheran have managed to snatch that crucial 4th place - incredible.
Greenacres and Central United now battle it out for that last finals spot in the bottom 4. Mitchell Park are 8pts and heavy percentage off 5th, with 3 games to go.
The thrashing the Dragons gave the Units on the weekend have severely damaged the hopes of the 'Dogs and given their percentage an almight flogging, thus placing Greenies in the box seat for a dramatic return to finals action after a few difficult seasons.
It's a shame the AdFL didn't check out the ladder better before setting up the fixture - would've been a beauty having Greenies v Units last round.
Who ever wins this week, plays finals.

Down the Hill wrote:It's called Glandore Oval Marbles - the former home of the infamous Glandore FC. The summer tenant until the mid 1990's was the Edwardstown CC then the short lived Edwardstown and Old Concordians CC. When that club folded the Adelaide Cricket Club moved there from nearby Bailey Reserve and I'm not sure when the Glandore FC folded but the Westminster OS Dragons have been the winter tenant since 2002.
