was one of those players caught up in the talent squeeze at norwood juniors in the mid 80's. neil balme had some sort of nonsense notion that players had to play 17's then 19's and reserves before being slowly blooded. this put many players off at the time.
zanker was hard and skilful - having watched some div 6 games last year, and if he's as fit as ever - he'll fit into most div 6 sides easily as his nous and natural ability would enable him to find the ball.
Yeah but is he? (I'll give you a clue, the answer is NO, well he IS 40!)But Zanks being Zanks just plays through it cos he's a hard nut. I think he will enjoy running around without the extra pressure, and he's obviously still got a few mates at Heccies as long as he's happy.. good on him! Hectorville picked up a big guy from lobathel, but have lost shultzy
Houghton picked up someone from Renmark and someone from a Div 3 club
Hope Valley, recruited someone form the gullies and and a tall, solid guy from somewhere
Glenunga are appearently looking ok aswell
