I think you will find Houghton has had no contact from the league regarding the Henley matter.

Does that mean it's a no-go, at what point would you say it's definitely not gonna happen? It'd be great for Houghton if they could avoid relegation.

Probably.

It would be a hollow victory to be granted that particular card. I somewhat feel Houghton's spot in Div 6 should be earnt back.

Agree, but didn't you guys get promotion to GF & Div 6 2 years ago when St Pauls caught out for unregistered player & stripped of win? :?

No, A Grade won that Semi Final to then go play Wingfield in the Prelim.

It was the Reserves who lost to St Pauls that day, but who then played in the Prelim, because St Pauls played an unregistered player.

I don't think he was a gun player, it's hard to recall though. It was kind of a silly move as both clubs have players from the same area and the degrees of separation are minimal. It just so happened that a couple of our blokes knew him and whaddya know, he's playing under a different name.

Surely that is one of the stupidest things a coach could try and pull off, did they win and then get it taken away from them.

St. Pauls were the better team on the day and probably would have fared better than our Reserves did in the Prelim the week after. Not the smartest move by them, but one they wouldn't make again.
