Browny its reward for effort regardless where you play, so there also should be no medals then ? Div 1 or nothing

Who did pick it? And how are the "qualified" as such?

Its all a little bit of a joke to me.

What would your team be Browny?

Thats the thing, I would have no idea and dont pretend to.

Tired Tiger does have a point in saying who ever picks it is in a hiding to nothing, its not like they can go and review the tapes after each round!!

I just dont see the point in picking teams of the year for anything below Div 1... I guess its a bit of fun more than anything?

Browney I think is a great idea. And well done to all involved. Maybe at this level it is a bit of fun, but its all good

and what a joke that was

Why is that a joke??

I'm waiting still...

He got 2 votes against us round 18 and spent a bit of time on the bench and had NO influence on the game whatsoever. Didn't someone from your club come 3rd or 4th as well? Not bad considering you only won 4 games!! Perhaps it's not a joke - cos no one's laughing!

Dunno mate, but if he gets games for that the SAAFL is an absolute joke. There is no way he should have been red carded, let alone reported for that. All it warranted was a free kick- was just a misfortunate late high tackle.

Late high tackle says it all
I probably agree with you though.
Im still amazed that a guy can be red carded, a free kick awarded but no 25m penalty?

was on other side of oval didnt really see it but from what every1 said was just unlucky, terrible umpiring display all day. Sent off our last yr B's B&f for nearly the whole match, he shold never be allowed to ump again. Both umps very soft thought it dampened the game. In theory those were the 13th best lot of umps in the saafl.

IMO i think 2 many umpires want 2 make an influence on the game

How can a "late, high tackle" at CHF be influenced by HV supporters get a grip
HV supporters were on the hill near the scoreboard and if anything the incident took place towards the other side of the ground

I agree that it didn't deserve a send off, but I reckon the umpires would have been instructed to set the tone ealry in ALL the grand finals after some shockers in recent years. It was high, it was late and he had no reason whatsoever to do it. We also should have received a 25m penalty, but the umpire said that we received an F.A.D and that was where we took the kick from. The ball went about 10 metres sideways from the kick. What advantage was that??

I think both umpires did an OK job. They might have been a bit ticky touch, but they were consistent all day and that's all you can really ask for at this level. To say he should never umpire again BS is just ridiculous

You're a real wet blanket, Browny. As well as recognition to ALL divisions, it's a bit of fun. Gave a few of us on here the idea to do our own as well.
