Popped down to Salisbury this arvo, Scotch looked very polished. Salisbury gave them way too much room and we're punished accordingly. Thank Christ for members prices at the bar.

WOW that result is huge!!!!. Big night down at Mitcham land i am sure. For those that don't live around the area wouldn't understand but this game has been talked about by both teams since Unley came up and they were very confident of knocking them off. That on it's own could change the Hawks season around.

What a win by the Hawks on the weekend...such a large build up to the game, the hawks trained the house down this week and the atmosphere around the place was electric...hopefully the hawks can string a couple of wins together and be back in the mix.

On the game on Saturday, the hawks got an early jump on the jets, with the small forward Geoff 'Fridge' Hardy snagging a couple of early goals to get the hawks going. Unley kept coming back at the hawks with only a couple of kicks in it at half time.

The hawks kicked away in the third to be up by 8 goals at 3qtr time and didnt look back from there. When the Hawks midfield is up and about, they looked dangerous.

Some crucial misses by the jets forwards, I think O'Sullivan missed at least 3-4 easy goals which could have made the game more interesting..

Did not see some of the big names for unley, Big Clarke got a bath from mitchams ruckman and didnt get near the ball all game...

It was a great atmosphere at the game with the Mitcham supporters being vocal and seemed to out number the jets supporters.

As we approach the half way mark who do we all think would be the premiership favourite?

Early on it looked like it could be any of a number of teams (Seaton, Scotch, Athelstone, PNU)

Now after a couple of teams have dropped off it looks like it might be a two-horse race between Scotch and Seaton...

From the games I've seen and what I've heard I'd day Seaton and scotch look the strongest and deservedly sit 1-2. Athelstone and Pnu still could provide a stern test but don't look like really pushing top 2, Unley is a real dark horse and can mix it with the best when on song so don't write them off, old Iggies a bit up and down and will have to play more consistenly just to make finals. Difficult to judge, the tipping in this div is anyone's bet! Salisbury Mitcham and even eastern park have beaten teams above them!

Unley bt Payneham by 5 goals.
Anyone know why the rd 10 games coming up are the return fixtures from rd 2, followed by the games of rd 1 the week after?
