whens plympton vs unley?? thats the derby games isnt it between the to sides ? a trail game a few years ago when i was there i was told that unley were plymptons main rivals. Would have thought it would have been morphett park ( i know they arent in the same league) as those grounds between plympton and morphies are only walking distance

Gee, heard Pulteney had 9 A Graders out and forfeited their C's... good effort to beat Golden Grove away.

Very dissapointing start to the season for the Burra's. Should have put Pultney away.

They started very well. First 5-6mins there midfield group dominated clearances and hardball gets. We fought back well to go up by a goal and a half at 1/4 time

We genuinely controlled the game for the next two quarters. Had 13 scoring shots to there very little in the 3rd. Dominated clearances but couldnt kick straight. Went into the last 1/4 only 3 up when it should have been 5+.

Ian Perrie was the difference in the last. Took control of the centre square, oyur midfield got beaten and they ran over us with a good 10-15minutes of footy.

Well done to Pultney. Better when it really mattered. They have a good game plan and look to switch the ball alot. Half forward play very high and influence midfield contests and leave lots of space for viney to operate at CHF. If Pultney are one of the benchmark sides, we are really not far off it.

Fingers crossed on landing our final big name signing in the next week or so.

The one downside to SAAFL against Southern Footy is that your pretty much guaranteed to play against at least 4 new clubs each year (4 if you finish mid table, 8 if you get relegated/promoted), so sometimes rivalries are hard to come by.

Unley are certainly rivals due to some defections, but that was 10-15 years ago so it would mean bugger all to the current team, and less to the supporters! It really was just the PFC team of the day that were unhappy with the defections.

Rosewater rivalry has been well documented, which ironically was the reason behind the rivalry in the first place if that makes sense!!

Phos Camden and Plympton play for a cup, you'd need about 5 cans of mr sheen to shine that bastard up as it's been in the phos cupboard for a fair while! Maybe in a few years it may be seen again!

Current day rivals, I don't know to be honest. It's an interesting one...

Abbott(s), Norton, and Newbold (although Newbold was too nice to be angry at!)

But none of the current day players would have any clue about it. That comes about when u stop playing against a club for a while, these rivalries don't get passed on, if you get what I mean

If Mr. Warren bagged 4 yesterday, may I ask what is attracting him to the Burras?

Well that makes a lot more sense.... He's a northern suburbs boy as well. I assume he played juniors at GG?
