WOS will build well on last years effort with a years experience in Div 4 and the additions of a few handy players that missed big chunks in 2010. I think $7-50 is a bit long...

If so, would his brother Peter fly the coup as well?
Personally Peter would walk into any div 4 teams half-back line.
Massive loss for the hounds who would be hunting a 3peat this year.

cant wait to play them to see what they're like.. any tips Duncs?

On from what duncs was saying....if your a forward playing against heccies, be prepared for a tough day at the office. Most impressive back 6 ive played against since playing senior footy. Dont give you an inch the whole day.

The fransisco boys will be losses but IMO can be covered. James was surrounded by a very very good midfield, with wooton, howson etc the more impressive players. Peter is a very sound defender and i agree would walk into any div 4 backline but heccies have the cattle to cover both IMO if they were to go (not at all saying they aren't important to heccies structure however)

If you want to beat heccies. Get fit, fast. They move the ball from 1 end to the other without a blink (which is where they cut elizabeth to pieces in the granny last year). Another thing that impresses me is their unity and ability to work for each other (they are a close group i believe and have been playing together without much change in the squad for a while now)

Overall an impressive unit and will go well in D4.

the team would be a lot smarter with out them

Trials confirmed for Salisbury!
Sat 12th v Pooraka
Sat 19th v Willunga
Sat 26th v G/Grove
Some really solid hit outs which i think is the plan, slightly different approach to last year

We played three teams in lower divisions last year, and one was a 15-20 goal blowout, and then we went on to lose the first two games of season proper and eventually fall to 2-6 before we woke up. Hoping to not let that happen again.

Looking forward to having a crack at Willunga, I know they won't be at 100% and the game means nothing but will be good to see how they go about it.

What 2 teams to people think will be Grand Finalists this year?

I would have too put my early money on a Salisbury V Unley GF.

Salisbury were a good side last year. They toweled up premiers Pooraka twice and if it wasn't for their bad start would have played finals and done some damage. Don't think they have lost many so would be my tip for flag favourites.

Unley, well these guys have been the silent improvers over the past couple of years. Always have a fairly solid b grade which shows good depth. If they get a few early wins on the board they will build confidence and have a real crack I reckon.

Unlucky to miss out: WOS, Heccies. I think WOS will improve a lot and play finals. Need some success to make that awesome decking worth being built! ;) Heccies seem to recruit very well and have had two good seasons of success. Prob play finals but unlikely to head up another grade first up.

Greenacres I think will prob make finals but be no real threat. I here they have lost most of the talent they recruited from Salisbury West which happens regularly when clubs pay big money. Players go where the cash is and this does not build loyalty to a club. Unfortunately I think Greenies may follow suit to what Salisbury West have done.

Good luck to all teams this year, not long now and were into it. :D
