Read on the Centrals forum that a player from the ammos who was in the state team of the year has been invited to train with the SANFL powerhouse ???

Does anyone know who this is or could be, can't be bothered to go back throught the pages to see if anything is mentioned ???

Is there a chance that Loxton may have increased the "cooling off" period??

Yes Moz, he has. Trained for the last couple of weeks before the Xmas break. I believe Centrals told him his time trial runs were not anywhere near good enough and he needed to trim off one & a half minutes, may have thought that was too hard so gave it away.

Nothing too drastic happening down at MFC, Gunning going home to Yorkes i believe, Vassal out at Sturt having a dip. Plenty of new faces have been out at training and pre season has been stepped up a fair few notches from last season.

All focus is on being competitive and staying up in Div 1. The beauty of our premiership side from last year is only 5 players were not ex modbury juniors so we have a fairly young and loyal squad to work with!

Clubs normally overlook such shortcomings if they think the bloke can actually play. Was he invited out there or did he just ask for a run?

I think he was invited out as I heard Roy Laird asked Jason Roe about him during the year....good on Dave I say could have gone for an easy option and try out at Westies but wanted to challenge himself.

Moz, it always happens when a new idea is put forward for discussion and that's all it is. The rumblings would mainly be coming from those who have done nothing at the club for many years, in fact we have not even sighted a lot of them.

Unfortunately some people think things happen by themselves, we all know that's not true.

Fair call, I must admit when I first read the post I wondered why you would try a club that strong

Think you'll find Dave suiting up for the Rams again. Don't think he's willing to play only reserves at the Dogs and has no guarantees about anything higher.
Now that is just plain dumb, don't you think?

Yes massive shoes to fill if he leaves. Dont think he'll be going to Norwood though to play reserves.

Not a go at u RRR by any means but read with interest on Norwood thread this week that Juniper at Norwood. Are you suggesting that he will not be good enough to play A's. I don't know, I have no contacts or interest........ just adding to the discussion. If he doesn't make the A grade will he go back to SHOC or would he stick it out with the Resies and see what happens?
